Chapter Gimmick:
This chapter is set at the classic Spyro's Adventure hub world, Eon's Citadel. It has been rebuilt to its original glory before the Hydra attack of the first game.Throughout the Citadel there are three ancient artifacts that can be found: Mon's Blizzard, Crimson's Dagger, and Aeter's Bolt. These are not required to be found but will be immensely helpful in this level's boss battle.
Each artifact has a different power tied to it that can be harnessed using the 'action' button. If the artifacts are not collected, the ending boss will have them as powers during the battle.
- Artifact #1: Mon's Blizzard
When used, will call down a blizzard that deals 20 damage every two seconds for 10 seconds. (Has a 20 second cooldown)- Artifact #2: Aeter's Bolt
When used, will send out a medium ranged electrical shockwave every two seconds that deals 30 damage. Lasts for 16 seconds and has a 32 second cooldown.- Artifact #3: Crimson's Dagger
When used, will strike out at an enemy and reduce their damage by 90% while boosting your own by 90%. This lasts for 13 seconds. While empowered you will leech health off the enemies you are fighting at the rate of 5% of the damage for every hit you deal. Has a 30 second cooldown.LEVEL START:
A short montage plays of the heroes readying the citadel for defense. The core of light is set up in its old position. Cannons and AMB's are lined up along the docks and city in preparation for the coming battle.Eon's ghost appears next to the core of light and summons a force field around it. "Skylanders, be prepared for the fight of your lives," he says. And with that, he channels his energy into the core of light making the beam glow brighter than ever.
The heroes ready themselves and wait as the mist appears on the horizon. Along the approaching wall of darkness are gold and purple ships, each of them containing dozens of the Chaos King's minions. A purple cloud trails out of the fog, zipping around the ships in a taunting manner.
"Prepare for battle!" Buzz orders.
This is where the level officially starts. You begin in a turret section firing on the approaching ships. Once you have defended long enough, a short cutscene plays where some of the ships begin to land on the water, prepping to disembark.
This begins the next section.
You must defend the core of light from four approaching waves of enemies, each wave growing increasingly difficult. You can choose where to fight them as the original area (Map 1) is open for you to fight at.
When the waves are defeated there is a moment of reprieve where Cali says to report to Buzz and Brain. This will continue the story. You can also explore right now if you wish.
Starting on the west side of the island, you can find the shrink zone on a grassy outcrop overlooking the ocean. Three star it to collect a treasure chest.
Just north of the shrink zone is Persephone's old upgrade platform. There is a lock puzzle in front of it now that is blocking in the winged sapphire.
Now head south and go down the stairs to reach the docks. Here you will find the water elemental gate. This allows you to ride out on the ocean to a small platform where a hat is located.
And finally, heading east along the dock you will reach the beach and a small cavern containing the life elemental zone. Solve a seed based puzzle to unlock the area's hat.
After this (or before if you don't feel like exploring) head over near the train tracks to speak with Buzz and Brain. Engage with them to begin the cutscene.
