Dorian

Clear.

That's what my mind feels.

I look down at my jaded robes. A guarded black robe with the emblem of a dragon painted across the lengths of it. It consisted of a high collar where the dragon's head was open and flowed down to wide-leg pants. It was wrapped around my lean frame in a way that screamed power. My fingers were adorned in thin gold rings and my ankles and wrists held gold clasps. Finally, my ruby necklace; small and shining hidden underneath my collar.

The weight of a gold shining crown on my head adorned with small rubies.

I look around the drawing room. Cream pillars accented with gold and the many paintings of heaven and hell that decorate my entire palace. Antique chairs with plush beige cushioning and white marble accents. The carpet was of plush material and od an astounding design of swirls of different shades of grey. I don't often admire my palace because I'm so used to it, but I imagine Briar would love it.

I sigh thinking of her, no woman in the land could even come close to the beauty of Briar Rose.

Briar.

She's here...

I quickly exit the drawing room them trailing behind me and make my way to the throne room where my advisors would be sitting on the sides.

I make my way through the spirals and corridors of the Castle. From the outside, most of the castle was a sort of black glass that shined in the sun.

Onyx. My favourite stone.

However, some parts of the palace the onyx was see-through like pure glass and you could see outside. Like my throne room.

As I make my way servants bow their heads at me and I nod in acknowledgment.

I find myself at the large obsidian stone doors. Engravings of ivy are on the door, matte black paints opaque.

I push them open to see an empty obsidian throne knife-like daggers shooting like a crown. Like the crown on my head.

Glass steps reflect from the sun shining overhead the open window in the throne room. Pillars are held up all around the ends of the room where seats were for my twelve advisors.

Six women, and six men. All warriors in their own respects.

The twelve advisors each the captain of their own legion. Twelve armies of the kingdom.

The room was filled with a lot of light. One of the airier parts of the somewhat dark castle.

I step inside and immediately the advisors get on the floor bowing, their heads on the floor as I walk my head held high.

"your majesty," They say in unison all downed in black robes of the same.

I hear footsteps behind me knowing that Lance is trailing me.

I slowly walk up the steps and sit atop my throne. Lance sits on the floor before the steps.

"Tell me" my voice booms. "Where is she?"

Soft chattering fills the room as they can't seem to understand my question

My eyes twitch in irritation and my brow quirks.

"Where is the queen?"

"Your Highness" One young man speaks out. My eyes calculate over him. Dark skin and long black hair that reached his waist.

His brown eyes hold sincerity.

"Speak" I nod.

"We don't know who you are referring to?" He states.
