We headed to where the fun was taking place, then we noticed the Meta, a woman, blasting fire from her hands. However, she didn't seem like herself. She had that blank stare in her eyes, almost robotic as if someone was controlling her.
We noticed several law enforcement officers, slaughtered, some of them were barely recognizable.
Laurel and Dinah both blasted her away with their cries but she got up almost as quickly as she went down.
She shot at us, the rest of us dodging her blows. Then out of nowhere came another guy, who looked the same as the girl, as if being controlled by someone.
"I think they're being controlled by someone or something" I said.
"I think so too" said Dinah.
Then came Barry with his super-speed, tying them up and knocking them out, cold. But the fun wasn't over because now we were up against Dubai's law enforcement, pointing their guns at us, shouting for us to stand down, in Arabic.
"What do we do now?" Laurel looked about as the rest of us were.
Then Barry – with his speed as The Flash – took away their weapons and that enabled us to fight them.
The three of us got into a battle with them until Sheikh Hamdan showed up with Saeed Hilal and more bodyguards.
He ordered us to stand down and I realized I had to let out my cry. Everyone around us covered their ears while windows shattered and the electricity short-circuited.
Then I grabbed an arrow and shot it at one of the officers who was attempting to subdue Laurel.
We all got into an epic battle and ran out of the facility as fast as we could before we got cornered by the Sheikh himself.
We were surrounded by more law enforcement, which was not good. Barry then came and super sped around them all, subduing them and tying them up. Hamdan was the only one who was not subdued, as I had told my friends to never harm him in any way. Not even Saeed Hilal.
Finally, Barry and Kara super-sped us away.
We arrived back at our bunker, where we put the metas in a cage with power dampeners and tried to figure out what kind of powers we were dealing with here.
"What do you think we're up against?" I asked.
"I don't know" said Rashid, who was looking worried right about now. "But like Sakher said, I think they were being controlled, psionically."
"You think we're dealing with a psionic meta-human?" asked Laurel.
"Yes" said Rashid.
"So if we're dealing with a psionic Meta, how exactly do we find and defeat him, or her?" I was now curious.
"I wish there was an easy answer to that question. I have no idea" said Laurel.
I then felt a sting on my neck and saw blood on my hands. I must have gotten injured but due to the adrenaline rush from the battle, I must have not felt it.
"Is that blood?" asked a worried Rashid.
"It's nothing to worry about. It's just a scratch."
"It's located right next to your vein" said Rashid.
My phone then made a loud ding, indicating I had a text. It was from Fazza, telling me he wanted me home and to not ignore his text or else, he would come looking for me. I knew I could not see his expression but knowing him, I knew he was either angry or worried. Or both and both of those combined were not a good combination with him.
