Chapter 19: To Hamdan, Or Not to Hamdan

Allegra and I anxiously waited for the results. The system was about two minutes away from revealing the results but it felt like an eternity was passing.

"Look, whatever happens we'll get through it" Allegra encouraged.

"But a lot can still go wrong. I feel like this is one situation we might not be able to get out of easily."

"Sakher, nothing is beyond hope, even if it feels like that's the case."

"You're right" I said and then the system beeped, alerting us that the results were imminent.

The system began to load the results and the moment the results popped up, it surprised us both.

"It's Hamdan's blood."

"What?" I looked at the results closer. "But I was talking to him and he was not injured at all."

"How is that possible then?" Allegra was as mystified as I was.

Then the computer started to ring and it was Dinah.

"Dinah" I said, with Laurel next to her.

"You need to get back to Dubai" said Dinah. "We have a problem."

"What kind of problem?" I asked then looked at Allegra.

"You haven't heard what the Iraqi president wants to do?" Laurel looked serious.

"What?" both Allegra and I said in unison.

"He wants to invade Kuwait the same as Saddam Hussein did in 1990" said Dinah. "Turn on the television."

And we did and he was live, talking about an invasion.

"Why? I thought Kuwait and Iraq had better relations?" Allegra asked.

"That's what we thought but this makes no sense. Just last week the Kuwaiti government offered to sell their petroleum to Iraq" said Laurel.

"That is odd. That's basically like biting the hand that feeds you" I said.

"Yes, but there are indications that this could be Earth-X related" said Dinah. "And I'm basing that out of the fact that Earth-X is trying to invade Earth-Prime. What if this imminent attack is a sign that Earth-X has finally gained the ability to come in and out anytime they want?"

"It's a possibility" Allegra agreed.

"What if you talked to Hamdan and see if he can do something to halt the Iraqis from invading Kuwait?" asked Laurel.

Allegra and I, once again, looked at each other.

"Yeah, that's probably not gonna happen because see...he's gone back to being against us and he is even gonna work with the government to arrest not just us, but any vigilante who's ever stepped into Dubai and he will call for extradition even against Clark and Kara."

"What?!" Laurel was now pissed. "I swear, I'm gonna go Black Siren on your brother's ass!"

"At this point, I would not mind it" I said. "If he was playing me to get to you guys, I swear I will help you put him down!"

"You're really willing to go against your own brother?" asked Dinah.

"He's willing to go against us and he swore to me that he wouldn't because he supposedly 'saw'...our role in saving the city."
