He started working on the computer virus and had managed to hack into the Burj Khalifa's network.
"Is the virus ready?" I asked.
"Almost, but the moment I insert it into their system, they will know our bunker has been powered so we have to move quickly!"
He continued working fast, and I mean fast. I had never seen him this concentrated and again, he had become the leader any of us would need. I always knew he had it in him to be a leader and to take care of his own. I simply did not understand why he became so cold hearted and almost unfeeling that he was able to easily kill without feeling remorse, even if it was a bad guy whose life he had taken.
"Copy that" I said.
"There, the virus is in their system and it should only be a matter of time before it disables their system and our yellow sun is rise and shining again" he said.
"I'm ready" said Fazza.
"Likewise" I said.
"Clark was up and ready, as were Laurel and Dinah.
"So what's the plan?" asked Dinah.
"We get out before they spot us!" said Dawoud.
We left the facility and the moment we stepped out, we were cornered by soldiers and Kryptonians.
"Okay, this is not good" I said.
"Definitely not good" said Dinah.
Dinah, Laurel, and I all blasted them with our cries but it had no effect on the Kryptonians, just the ones who were mortal.
One of them shot at us with his laser eyes and then another one cornered Dawoud. He pulled out a Katana sword and before I had a chance to help him, he stabbed Dawoud in the stomach, all the way that the word could be seen from his back.
He pulled it out, while I watched in horror as my little brother was deathly injured. Fazza then shot him with a kryptonite arrow and killed him and the others fled.
I ran to my injured little brother, who was gasping for air, unable to talk.
"Dawoud, you're gonna be okay...stay with me!" I cried.
But it was no use as he was gasping for air and was clearly in severe pain. The moment life fled his eyes, closed them.
I cried in agony, unsure what I was now going to do because I had not only lost Rashid and Louai, but also Khaled.
"We have to go!" said Fazza, with urgency.
"No I can't leave him here!"
"He's still alive in the past. We need to get that ring so you can go back, warn us, and prevent this future from ever happening!"
"I'm still not leaving him!"
Clark picked a now lifeless Dawoud and we headed to put him to rest.
I watched in agony as we placed him into a grave, dug up. I grabbed the shovel and placed the dirt over him as I cried. I could not believe my surroundings or what was happening. Things were so bad and so ugly, and bad and ugly were understatements.
After burying him, we all left and headed to downtown but we got cornered yet again by more Kryptonian soldiers and Earth-X soldiers.
"You're outnumbered" said Oliver, the Fuhrer. He was backed by Overgirl and Overman, Kara and Clark's doppelgangers, respectively.
Then the Burj Khalifa started to short circuit and the next thing you know, the antenna is destroyed and the yellow sun begins to shine again.
Clark is once again empowered by the yellow sun, becoming Superman again. He engaged in battle with Overgirl and Overman. Oliver was no longer empowered and that meant I had to battle him to recover the ring.
He came after me and I shot him in the leg with an arrow, releasing a neurotoxin that paralyzed him but then Khaled-X came and knocked me over.
"You think you're going to get that ring?"
"Yeah, I am!" I said and then sped and grabbed me from the neck, picking me up.
Fazza then shot him with a kryptonite arrow, weakening him. I fell hard and then Clark, after defeating and killing Overgirl and Overman, he went and took the ring from Oliver, who was moving but was powerless.
"You really think you've won?" Oliver asked.
"We're going to prevent this future from ever happening!" said Clark.
Khaled got up and sped toward us and stabbed Clark with a kryptonite knife. Clark managed to push him several feet away.
I pulled the knife and shoved it away.
I saw Fazza from afar while Laurel and Dinah fought the other Earth-Xers.
Clark grabbed my hand and started placing the ring on my index finger.

"Make sure you prevent this from ever happening. Remember, this all begins with the release of COVID-19!"
He pushed the ring further and then I watched as Khaled watched us. He began to speed over, which made no sense because the yellow sun was back, which meant he should have been powerless.
The ring started to glow, indicating that it was about to send me back to the past. Khaled grabbed my hand and before I knew it, I was in a train full of people, with Khaled on tow.
Only, I had no idea where I was or how I had gotten here, in this train. I also had no idea how Khaled-X was here.

The Present
Author's POV
Clark awoke from being connected with Sakher.
"What happened, what did you see?"
"I told him, or future me rather, that this invasion begins with the release of COVID-19" Clark said.
"Is he going to be okay?" asked a worried Fazza.
"He's going to be fine" said Caitlyn. "We've managed to stabilize him."
"Is he still going to remember the future?" Clark asked.
"He will but the memories won't be as traumatizing. The reason he was getting sick every time he remembered was because those memories were so blocked up that they took energy from him and that caused him to end up in a comma. But because his memories have been safely restored, he will be okay" Caitlyn assured. "He's just going to wake up with a hell of a headache."
"Nothing a few aspirin won't take care of" said Fazza.
