Chapter 24: Brutal Q&A

As the gas started seeping through the cracks of the door, I realized we were cornered but Clark used his icy breath and blew around the door to seal the cracks as much as possible.

"That should hold them off for a bit" he said.

"But how do we get out of here?" asked Rashid.

"I'll remove the gas from the air so you can all move freely and fight whoever is out there" said Clark.

"Okay" I said and the moment he scrammed through the door, he sucked in all the tear gas and blew it out the window.

The moment we walked in, I realized it was not only my mom's doppelganger but she was working with the Alama-X brothers.

"What are you doing here?!" Adriana-X demanded.

"I came here to look for my mom!"

"I'm your mom and you will do as I say!" she snapped.

"I don't think so! You see, I found it interesting how you were impersonating her this whole time. Of course, most thought it was odd that you were so antagonistic because my real mom would never do the things you've done to me or my Dawoud!"

"Stand down, now!" she demanded.

"No, you're not my real mom and I will never do a single thing you tell me to do! It's so messed up what you've done and now I know that you purposely activated the curse on Dawoud so that you can kill him to save your son!"

"Hey, I'm a desperate mom trying to save her son!"

The woman in front of me had no scruples or morals for that matter. She was no different than Hamdan-X, who killed without a single thought and nor had any consideration for others.

"Well, you're never going to fulfill your endgame! I won't let you and now that I know what you've done, I'm going to make sure you pay and if you harm anyone I care about, I will kill you myself!"

"You're an Earth-Primer!" Khaled-X laughed, malevolently, causing his Prime version to flinch at the malevolence he was displaying. "You're all weak and moved my sentiment! We get rid of the likes of you!"

"And we get rid of evil bastards like you three!" I decided to include my mom's doppelganger in the mix.

"You want weak, well, how's this for weak!" I gave Rashid a look and he knew right away what he had to do and what I was about to do.

I let out a loud and powerful cry, thanks to my Canary Cry collar, and everyone covered their ears, including the Alama-X brothers.

I kept the noise up and Clark sped and tied up the three bastards reeling from the loud cry I let out.

"Yeah, how's that for weak!" I watched the three bastards, clearly experiencing a form of tinnitus. "Now, you're all going to answer my questions or I will give you an even worse whammy! So talk or I start singing!"

"You don't have the guts!" Louai-X laughed and I laid out another nasty cry and this time, their hands were tied behind their back...which meant their ears were for sure going to suffer far worse.

"Stop it!" Adriana-X cried.

"No, until you answer my questions!"

"I will never talk and if you ever want to see your precious brother again..." I was suddenly triggered. "Yeah, Hamdan, or is it Fazza?!"
