Laurel's POV
Walking around the Dubai town center, I was admiring the view of the grandiose city and its elegance.
As she walked into a clothing store, surveying some of the Abayas, which were quite nice and some were colorful, with somewhat of an Ottoman Turkish Bindalli style. Similar to the dresses that Ottoman women wore several hundred years back.
My eye caught sight of an amazingly beautiful Abaya. It was pink with golden embroidery designs all around, really complementing the dress.
"Hi" I heard a somewhat familiar voice.
Turning around, it was Sheikh Hamdan, with his bodyguard Saeed Hilal.
"Hi, I'm sorry you're Sheikh Hamdan" I said, feeling nervous all of a sudden because once again I was standing in front of the crown prince.
"Call me Hamdan. You work at my friend's restaurant, no?"
"Actually, I'm a co-owner, though Sakher owns the majority of the restaurant."
"I see" he smiled. "Listen, do you want to go get some lunch? I was thinking we could go to this café not far off from here."
Was he seriously asking me out? What was I supposed to say?
"Um, I suppose that's fine but I don't want to want to be recognized by the media either" I said, realizing that if someone recognized me, The Canaries would likely be at risk and that was the last thing I wanted.
"Tell you what..." he grabbed the Abaya I was about to grab myself and then he took a pink hijab that complemented the dress.
I went into a changing room and put it on. Then as I stepped out he gave me a pair of high heels.
"I paid for the dress and the shoes. You're good."
"Okay, let me at least pay you."
"It's fine" he smiled.
I guess he was determined to take me on a date. That was new and then I began to remember Oliver, my one true love from my earth but unlike on Earth-1 and now Earth-Prime, on Earth-2 he did not survive the ship sinking over the China Sea and never landed on Lian Yu.
"How about we go to my palace and eat lunch there?" he suggested. "That way there won't be any media around."
I reluctantly agreed because while he was Sakher's blood brother, he had endorsed the Anti-Vigilante bill, and technically him being the Crown Prince of this Emirate, partly made him the enemy.
Arriving at his palace, I was astounded not only by how big it was but also how huge the property was.
Arriving, we went up to his room on his terrace, where the table was filled with nothing but good.
