Y/N's finger trailed down the edge of the page, absentmindedly fiddling with it as she read. She was engrossed in her book while snuggled up on the couch with a blanket. After reading three non-fiction books in a row, she was excited to read something she actually enjoyed.

When Levi's teacup clinked against it's saucer, Y/N flicked her eyes up to him. She admired his fingers as they hovered over his cup. Her eyes followed his arm up to his jaw then to his eyes which were looking at her. She snapped back to her book and stifled the flinch at being caught looking at him.

Keep it together, or else we're going back to the boring books, Y/N scolded herself.

It had been two weeks since Erwin hired Y/N to tutor Levi, and for two weeks, Y/N hadn't taught him a single thing. She sat in his office and followed him around headquarters until she left for the day an hour before dinner. At first, she brought books she thought he would be interested in. But after being ignored for a week and a half, she brought books from her own collection.

He was handsome, but they had barely spoken let alone bonded in their brief time together. They definitely weren't close enough for her to stare at him.

We'll get there eventually, Y/N shrugged and returned to her book.

An hour of silence passed with only the sound of Levi's teacup clinking and his papers shuffling. At one point, Y/N giggled because of her book, earning her a stern glare from Levi. From then on, she purposefully restricted her reactions to her facial expressions. Honestly, she was proud of the fact that she didn't kick her feet against the couch during an intense chapter.

I'm really getting paid to read, Y/N smirked.

"I'm leaving to train the brats in five minutes," Levi said without looking up.

"Oh, it's cold out today, isn't it?"

Levi didn't respond. He never answered her questions. The only time he spoke was when he announced he was leaving and a quiet greeting in the morning. Y/N had grown used to talking to herself.

"I think it is. Let me run and get a sweater. I'll be right back!"

Levi sighed; the only indication to Y/N that he heard what she said. Y/N threw the blanket and her book onto the couch then ran out the door. Another sigh and Levi put his teacup down to pinch the bridge of his nose. "Damn it, Erwin."

Some tutor. She's more like a shadow, if the shadow never stopped talking.

Levi finished his tea, gathered his things, then looked at the clock on his desk.

"Tch. How long can it take to grab a sweater?" He walked towards the door and noticed the state of his couch.

"For fucks sake, Y/N,"he huffed as he snatched the blanket up and began folding it.

Her book slapped the couch cushion, drawing Levi's attention. He tried to deny his curiosity, but he couldn't help it. He looked down at the green cover, but the title wasn't visible. Levi looked at the clock, then the door, then back to the book.

He draped the folded blanket over the back of the couch, then inched his hand towards the book. With one finger, he flipped it over to reveal the title: Devil's Trench Coat.

Levi furrowed his eyebrows and squinted his eyes. "What the fuck is she reading?"

He looked around the room again, then stopped and listened for footsteps in the halls. Levi gingerly lifted the book and let it fall open in his palm. Her bookmark was the scrap of paper she had taken from his desk.

Levi knew how to read well enough; Erwin had hired Y/N because Levi's writing skills were subpar at best. However, reading a Scout report was entirely different from the page he was looking at. He didn't recognize half the words, but the language was phonetic enough that he could usually understand new words by sounding them out.

"...His mouth..." he mumbled as he read a random line out loud to himself. He tried to sound out a word he had never seen before. "N...nip-play... nip-pull. Nipple-"

Levi snapped his mouth shut, and his eyes got wide as the meaning of the sentence sunk in. His ears turned red while his eyes skimmed the rest of the page.

Cock... Wet... Thrusted...

Levi dropped the book on the couch and stepped back as if it had shocked him. He stared at it for a moment longer then looked to the door.

"What the fuck is she reading?"

Levi rubbed his hands down his thighs as if he could wipe away the evidence that he had read her book. In the process, he noticed the most damning evidence. Levi yanked his cape further down in the front to cover his obvious erection.

While trying to stifle his blush, Levi flung open his office door and stomped off down the hall.

Y/N turned the corner and saw Levi walking away from her.

"Wait up!" She yelled.

Is he speeding up? Y/N questioned when he disappeared down another hall.

"Captain!" Y/N chased after him.

In her haste, she forgot to grab her book from his office.
