Y/N yawned the entire time they showered together, and when they sat back in bed, and Levi dried her hair with a towel, her eyelids drooped. There was even a moment where her head slipped forward until she snapped back up and yawned. Levi stood up and brought the towel back to the bathroom while Y/N crawled under the covers.

He was far from tired; the few hours he got were still more than a normal night's sleep for him. But Y/N held the blanket up for him, and he thought, How can I say no? He settled in next to her, and she cuddled into his side. Within a minute, Y/N's head got heavier on his shoulder and her breathing slowed.

For, what Levi guessed was about three hours, he laid just like that without moving. He used the time to work through all the information Y/N had told him. It was all so much to process that he didn't even consider moving until after the sun had fully risen. Not until he had settled on the beginnings of a plan to free Y/N from her family.

It's our problem now, he thought as he looked down at Y/N.

Levi slipped out from under Y/N and lowered her head to the pillow. She rubbed her face into the soft pillowcase then tucked the comforter under her chin. He watched her settle with a soft smile on his face. The more he slept next to her, the more he felt like he learned about her. Like how she rubbed her face when she was tired. Or that she preferred to sleep on her side, and whenever he wasn't in bed with her, she bunched the blanket up and cuddled it to her chest. Then she tucks it under her chin, just like she did now.

She's such a clingy cuddler at night, he thought though he knew she would never admit to that.

He himself was surprised by how much he enjoyed it; he still couldn't believe how well he slept when next to her either.

Levi tucked her hair behind her ear before he grabbed his clothes and went into the living room.

Y/N woke up alone in bed when a thin beam of sunlight shone directly at her eye. She squeezed her eyes tighter and tried to hide under the blanket.

Wait. Y/N stopped moving when she realized the bed was empty. Did none of that actually happen?

Y/N peaked out from under the covers and looked around her room. The door to the living room and kitchen was closed, so she listened for any sound. A minute passed without a noise, then another. She tried to grasp what was going on.

Last night had to have happened. She was naked and could still feel the events of the night across her body. But where did he go?

The door swung open with only a tiny creak. Y/N flinched at the sudden movement; there hadn't been a sound to warn her.

"Gods!" Y/N gasped.

Levi stopped and looked at her confused. "What?"

"I didn't know you were still here," Y/N sat up.

He furrowed his brow. He didn't understand what she was saying, probably because he was putting a lot of effort into not staring at her bare chest.

"Where else would I be?"

"There wasn't any noise," Y/N tried to defend herself.

Levi continued walking into the room. "That was on purpose, Y/N. You were asleep."

Y/N watched him walk into the bathroom, and she realized he had her duffel bag over his shoulder.

"What are you doing?"

"Packing," he said as if it was obvious.

"What?"

"Y/N," Levi chided. "Please finish waking up before you continue asking dumb questions."
