Y/N had been enjoying just sitting next to the fire watching the Scouts flit about above her, so when Levi landed next to her, his negative energy was palpable. She looked up at him, and he looked grumpier than usual, but she figured he would chat when he was ready. So far, he hadn't pushed her to talk when she was upset, so she wasn't going to push him. It's not exactly like he's secretive with feelings and concerns.

"Are you ready?" Levi asked Y/N, but he stared at the fire.

"I am!" Y/N popped up and kissed his cheek.

She wasn't going to push him, but she could try to cheer him up. He still looked tense, but after her kiss, he finally looked at her. She offered him a soft smile, and he took her hand in his. Lately, he had gotten into the habit of squeezing her hand whenever he held it; she didn't know why, but it felt affectionate.

Hand-in-hand, they walked to his horse which was tied up near the others'. Even though he had been holding her hand near constantly for the last two weeks, she still wasn't used to how casually he allowed other Scouts to see them. Even now, as they walked past the few remaining Scouts packing up their horses, Y/N thought about how foreign it felt.

Have I ever just held someone's hand in the open like this? I definitely didn't do it with Hange, and I didn't exactly date anyone else. Is this a first for me? Y/N looked down at their hands through a different lens than before. I've been so focused on all of Levi's firsts that I forgot I had any left.

As she was thinking how cute her realization was, Levi dropped her hand to unpack the extra gear he brought for her.

"Aw," Y/N pouted.

Levi side-eyed her over his shoulder. "Do you want to practice or not?"

"No, yes, sorry. I was just thinking about how so much of our relationship has been new to you, but I also have a lot of things I haven't experienced yet."

Levi stacked the gear in his arms and said, "Are there still new things for you?"

Y/N huffed and glared at his back. "Yes, asshole. You're technically my first official relationship."

Levi looked back at her for a moment with a little too much surprise on his face. I might fight him today.

"I've never even held hands with someone in public before you."

"Never?"

"Nope." Y/N saw her opportunity. "I've also never had sex in the woods."

Levi stilled, his hands hovered next to the saddle bag. Y/N looked around to see if anyone was still in the vicinity, but all she saw was a single Scout getting smaller as he rode away. She stepped forward to wrap her arms around Levi's waist, and she rested her chin on his shoulder.

"I've never fucked in public at all really, but it always sounded fun," Y/N kissed the side of his neck.

Levi released the breath he had been holding at Y/N's kiss.

"Have you ever thought of that? Imagined the thrill of fucking against a tree?"

Levi swallowed and shook his head; his words had abandoned him.

"No?" Y/N shrugged and stepped back, but before she withdrew her hands, she allowed them to trail down and over the slight bulge in his pants. "Maybe it's just me. Anyways, ready to practice?"
