Hi folks!
She's a long one today. There are technically two chapters, but the next one is really just a treat and not a full chapter. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy both as always.

Levi had brought all of their belongings up to their room, unpacked everything, and brought their excess food to the pantry. He then paced in his office for as long as he could stand it. Y/N's silence the entire ride home was disconcerting to say the least, but now Levi was getting flashbacks to the last time she had disappeared with Hange.
"Fuck," Levi growled before he finally gave in and stormed out into the hallway to find his partner.
He went to Hange's lab first and felt a slight shiver dance up his arms when he found the lab empty and silent. He was just about to turn and continue his search with even more panic when he heard a quiet gasp. His mind raced through the possibilities as he approached the closed door of Hange's office.
"Hange?" Levi's knock cut off a shaky breath somewhere inside. He heard a sniffle followed by some silence then a response.
"Come in," Hange called.
Levi inched the door open and peaked his head inside; some part of him was scared to see what was going on. He found Hange sitting back in their chair with their glasses discarded on the desk in front of them. Without the glasses, it was even more apparent how red and puffy their eyes were. They had clearly tried to wipe all the tears from their face but had missed a few streaks.
Hange sniffed and cleared their throat. "Y/N-" they almost choked on the name, "she's uh she left a while ago, shorty."
Levi, at a loss for words, just stood in the doorway staring at them. They were technically friends by all accounts, but were they the kind of friends who comforted each other while crying? Levi was unsure.
"Are you... are you okay?" Levi asked despite his better instincts.
Hange gaped at him and his question. They huffed a laugh and swiped the remaining tears from their eyes.
"No, not really," Hange sighed. "She's pissed in case you were wondering."
Levi echoed their sigh and walked further into the office to flop into the chair opposite Hange.
"I know, but I was hoping you were going to convince her."
Hange scoffed. "If anything, I made her more angry." They zoned out for a second then added quieter than the rest, "and sadder too."
Levi's eyes flicked to them at that.
"You two had a," he struggled to find the right word, "tough relationship, huh?"
"Ha, yeah you could say that." Hange rubbed their eyes. "She hasn't said much about it?"
"No, but to be fair, I didn't ask either. I'd rather not think about you fucking in general, but especially not Y/N."
Hange snorted at that. "We did fuck a lot."
"Okay," Levi groaned. "That's enough."
Teasing him was a brief moment of levity for Hange before they sighed once again. "I think that was all we did right though, if I'm honest."
Levi waited for them to say more while he closely watched their face. All he saw was regret.
"Is it weird to talk to you about this?" Hange asked.
Levi shrugged and rolled his eyes. "The whole situation is weird, Hange. We both love her-"
"No," Hange cut him off. "I mean yes we both love her, but what you two have is different. It's better than anything we could have ever hoped for. We were too young and preoccupied with our own shit to even think to even think to hope for it. You're right though, it is weird."
