Raise the Alarm

Hi folks!

I was going to post one long, final chapter, but it was taking me ages, and I didn't want to make y'all wait too long. So next chapter will be the final chapter of Tutor. 🥹

Levi wasn't slowed by manners or pleasantries when he threw open the door to Erwin's office. It was arguably still very early, but Levi knew Erwin would be awake.

And he was right. Erwin threw a glare at the intrusion which quickly melted into concern when he saw the blood all over Levi's shirt and the side of his face. Dread settled like a boulder in his stomach when he saw the streaks of tears through the blood.

"Levi-"

"He came back. He attacked her."

"What?!"

"She killed him," Levi felt like throwing up all over again.

"Wha- uh-"

Before Erwin could process everything Levi had said, let alone get a single, coherent word out, the alarm started blaring through HQ. Levi flinched at the cacophony, eyes wide with a fresh panic.

"Erwin!" Hange yelled as they nearly ran into Levi. "Two Scouts were just found dead outside."

Levi blanched further and forced his lungs to accept a shaky breath.

"God damn it," Erwin grumbled and ran his hand down his face.

Hange finally looked over at Levi and their jaw went slack. "Are you okay??" Their hands fluttered over Levi's shoulders and arms. "Oh gods, Y/N?!" They nearly shouted right in Levi's face.

But Levi just looked at Erwin. "He must have killed them to get inside." A stray tear ran down his cheeks periodically. He had too many feelings to process any of them.

"WHAT?" Hange was getting frustrated with the lack of explanation.

Levi turned to them with tired eyes. "She killed him. He attacked her while I was gone, and she had to kill him." Levi clenched his jaw. "And apparently he killed Scouts in the process."

Hange stumbled backwards.

"Where is she now, Levi?" Erwin asked, trying to think of how to proceed over the constant screaming of the alarm sending HQ into lockdown.

"She's still in my office."

"You left her there?" Hange shouted again, though this time it was partially to be heard over the alarm.

"Should I have traipsed her through HQ covered in blood?!" Levi snapped back.

Hange fixed their jaw shut.

"Enough," Erwin commanded. "You two, go back to Levi's office. Levi take Y/N to Hange's quarters and keep her there until I send for you. Take care of her, get her cleaned up."

Levi nodded his head. He was grateful for the clear instructions while his mind felt so scrambled.

"Hange go with him, but stay in his office. The MPs will want to see what happened for themselves."

"MPs?" Levi and Hange gasped together.

Erwin raised his hand up to stop their complaints. "They'll take a while to get here, but they will want to speak to her. Assuming he did kill two Scouts and snuck into HQ with the intention of killing Y/N, she will not be in any trouble."

Neither said anything in response, so he dismissed them and steeled himself to go deal with the day ahead of him.
