Monday is stressful. It's almost just a month when the school year starts, but the students are already cramming for quizzes and assignments—most of them would be essays or films.
The preliminary exams are scheduled by the middle of next month, so the class discussions are also at a two-times speed since time flies fast, especially for the seniors who would almost crawl to the entrance of the university.
One senior cannot seem to relax though; even if she already finished all the assignments for this week, her mind is still wavering to the unknown and would shift on her seat every now and then.
The uncomfortable omega sat on the swivel chair of her assigned desktop as she typed in the code syntaxes, as their professor had designated.
She tried so hard to focus, running the program for every number and taking a screenshot for the compilation of her document.
One string of discomfort striking her tummy made her sigh heavily, catching the attention of her seatmate, who worriedly checked up on her.
"Is there something bothering you?", he silently asked.
"Ah no.. maybe? I don't know?", she answered with an obvious doubt in her tone, still continuing her work.
"You can tell me if it's something serious, okay? I won't judge, promise; we're both omegas."
She looked back at the male with a thankful smile and said, "Thank you, Chenle."
In those 3 hours of laboratory classes, Jihye managed to finish and pass her work on time.
The displeasure in her body seemed to die down before 45 minutes of dismissal, so she can finally breathe normally and assure the male omega that she's okay.
An hour to 12, Jihye and Chenle sat beside each other in their cybersecurity class.
They weren't close before, just talking to each other about the lessons, but now they were able to raise some topics about their personal favorites.
They were in the middle of a pair of projects that they happily worked on, subtly talking about some random things that distracted them from time to time.
That is, when another striking pain hit her head, making her groan, alerting Chenle, who's sneakily playing a video game.
"Don't tell me you're in pre-heat."
"Pre what?", she dropped her head on her propped-up hands. "Maybe I caught a cold? I also slept late because of the assignment."
"Hmm", the male momentarily dropped his phone and pressed a palm on her forehead, also comparing their temperature. "You're good. Um, not to be nosy, but when is your last cycle?"
"Le...", she pouted, "I'm actually a recessive."
"Oh my!", he slapped a hand on his mouth to keep him silent, leaning closer to the girl. "You didn't have your cycle yet?"
"No, it's just been a month since I presented. Is it a bad thing?"
"No, no, it's normal—for recessives, that is. Your cycles are abnormal and never on a fixed schedule. You should go home right now!"
