CHAPTER 35

A hard slam on the door, raging footsteps, and a crumpled collar greeted Jaehyun the moment he opened his door.

Dark, angered pheromones quickly swarmed around the air, and because alphas really hated to be dominated, he released his too.

Jaehyun yanked Renjun's hold on his collar and served a blow to his already swollen cheek, leaving him with a busted lip.

"You barged into my house for what?", he gritted his teeth.

Renjun scoffed a laugh, wiping the flowing blood from the back of his hand. "Did you plan this with Lei-An?"

"You fucked up and threw all this mess at me? Fuck you."

"Fuck you!", Renjun yelled in anger. "Just admit that you both took advantage of us being separated and set me up!"

"Do you hear what you're saying? For all I know, you feel so good about reconciling with her."

"I LOVE JIHYE, AND YOU'RE PLANNING TO GET HER TOO!"

"OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE SHE'S ALSO MY MATE!", Jaehyun now cannot control his frustration. "If you want her all by yourself, you could've claimed her earlier then. Until then, I'll try my hardest to win her too. That's what you should be doing by now, not fucking your ex!"

"YOU SET ME UP!"

"I DIDN'T! I WAS DRINKING ALONE AND SAW YOU ENTERING THE RESTROOM! THEN I SAW HER FOLLOWING YOU! BUT THEN IT ISN'T MY BUSINESS TO INTERFERE! THAT'S WHY I IGNORED IT!"

"IT ISN'T YOUR BUSINESS, YES. YOU DIDN'T SET ME UP, YES! But you could've checked Jaehyun; you know how crazy that girl is. Just say that you wanted this to happen; that's why you just ignored the possibilities of us meeting right there."

"Fine, I admit I wanted something bad to happen to the both of you, but not this way, Renjun. I also want my mate, that's it. Whatever shit you're thinking while coming here, I bet most of them aren't true. I swear I'm out of this", he scoffed. "If anything, I will beat the life out of you right now. I caught you riling someone and not just anyone. It's your ex, Renjun. What would Jihye think then?"

Renjun took a deep sigh and looked away, his jaw tightly clenching as his fists were shaking.

"If you want her to come back to you, earn her trust again. I'm not sure if Cherry High has CCTVs around near the restroom. If you wanted to check it, then better check on me too, if that will make you feel better. That's all I can help you with."

"Stay away from Jihye."

"No promises; we're both on the same boat here, Huang. We both want our potential mate to be with us. I'm sorry."

With a piercing glare, Renjun exited the house. He didn't bother to suck all his raging pheromones and drove to the said bar with it.

He easily caught the attention of the people around there, most of them clearing the way for the obviously mad dominant if they didn't want a bloodbath to happen.
