CHAPTER 48

Jihye and Renjun ended up sleeping in the Yang household.

The dominant had to pull the omega to bed by force as she spent too late rummaging her old things and ended up packing oversized clothes that were long forgotten in her closet.

They drove home after breakfast, with Jihye's mom packing several foods for them that would probably last for a week. Jungwon spent his moment thanking Renjun again for the massive gift, and of course the dad never missed the opportunity to relay his message through his dark stares.

Jihye owned the shower when they arrived almost immediately, then wore the male's hoodie and her pajamas as she found the combo comfortable.

She spent time organizing the food packs on the refrigerator, ending up eating a box of Grahams at the same time the dominant finished showering.

He chuckled. "Already hungry?"

"Don't talk to me."

"What did I do", he mumbled and sat beside her. "Can I have a bite?"

"Get yours", she lightly growled.

"Oh my, my omega is growling, so cute", he gasped. Though he just earned a cold shoulder, he just continued to watch her with fondness.

It icked the omega not long after, groaning as she looked at the male with narrowed eyes and a frown.

"Stop looking at me!"

"I can't help it, you look adorable.", Renjun almost choked when the spoon was suddenly shoved in his mouth, landing the big cut of dessert on his tongue.

"Shut up"

"This is.. you could've.. given just a little", he spoke with an obvious struggle, taking his time to chew. "You've been incredibly nice to me awhile ago; now you're on Santa's naughty list."

"Santa isn't real."

"Renjun's naughty list, then."

"Does it make a difference? Renjun is naughty too."

It made the male laugh and pinched her cheek, leaving a pinkish hue on the skin.

The whole day is just them simply spending time together—not much happened, but being in each other's presence is already a lot.

Maybe it just consisted of Renjun snuggling and clinging to the omega for attention or enduring the omega's energy if she'd finally get in the mood.

Needless to say, being mates and future parents is going smoothly for them.

The holiday break is close to ending by the fifth of January, and so Renjun became busy on New Year's Eve.

He organized his sheets and drafts, going through the advance reading of their courseware so he would have a clue as to what they were going to do next.

Renjun decided to start advancing his course to focus on Jihye. Knowing that the baby is continuously growing and the omega's need to have company will surely rise, he wanted to be there first if she called for help.
