SPECIAL CHAPTER

Heejoo has been terrifyingly silent for the past hour.

Hwayoung and Minho are continuously bickering throughout that time, just letting their dominant alpha friend into her space because, as I said, it was terrifying.

An obvious furrow is set on her forehead, eyes narrowing to nowhere (which is just on the tree innocently standing healthily in front of them).

She's wearing a casual plain button-down, tucked in black jeans, and worn-out sneakers. She sported a brighter color this day, but her face was never allowed to show it, as were her pheromones, which swiftly relayed her distress.

Finally, someone won on rock-paper scissors—the loser's now preparing for his dear life.

Hwayoung victoriously grinned as she watched the sacrificial lamb tiptoe towards the dominant alpha, then slowly sat beside her.

"Heejoo-ya"

"Hmm"

"Can we help you with anything?"

"No"

"Just a bit?"

"No"

Minho pouted, "Just a very, very small bit?"

Heejoo sighed and turned to face the male omega. Minho lightly gasped when she did.

Heejoo raised a brow. "Did you lose on rock-paper scissors again?"

Minho giggled "Yeah, I did."

"I told you to attack her with rock and paper, respectively."

"But I'm testing my luck!"

"Clearly, you have no luck in this", Hwayoung joined in. "Since you get her to talk, your penalty's done. So Heejoo, do you have any plans of telling us?"

"I told you guys, this is nothing that concerns you."

"Is it too personal?", Minho quipped. "You know, even if it is, we can tell each other. Like me!"

"Min, you tell everyone what you're feeling", Heejoo said, rolling her eyes. "But you guys, sit this one out; I'm figuring it out."

"You never really ponder over something, except if your dad asks for your help to make your mom's anger subside", Hwayoung pointed out.

"Ugh, it's a family thing, okay? And it's his fault for making mom mad every time!"

"Okay, alright, your pheromones, okay?"

Heejoo immediately calmed herself.

"So, can I guess then?", Minho excitedly quipped.

"I can never let you shut up, hm?", Heejoo deadpanned, though the omega just giggled. "Okay, fine."

"It's about Ino, is it?"

She paused for a few seconds and raised a brow.
