CHAPTER 38

Jihye was discharged the day after, as the doctor permitted.

It wasn't that necessary to put a bandage on the back of her head as the wound was closing up and only left a scratch. Still, Jaehyun is more than wary and has promised to tend to her once something happens.

Jihye also reassured that she is fine in her dormitory unit, for she already felt at peace with the comfortable ambiance where she used to when the dorm lady asked if she wanted to switch to another unit. Also, the lady promised that she'd never let anyone stay with her again and marked it as the omega's territory.

Of course, the friend group is delighted that their dearest friend came back safely.

They prepared several dishes to share and popped some confetti that would probably be a problem when they cleaned later on.

Bunch of warm thank yous were also rained on Jaehyun, whom the friends warmly welcomed at their mini-party.

Jihye was also surprised that her unit appeared kind of lonely when Lei-An's things weren't there, but would she trade her peace for the liveliness of the room? Of course not.

"The dean had me excused for all the subjects and quizzes I missed", Jihye informed me as their topic shifted to their recent studies.

"The teachers already gave you the same as the highest recorded scores; now I want to rest in a hospital."

"Le!", Jisung exclaimed after hearing the male omega's words, who also peppered his cheek with kisses so the dominant wouldn't be mad.

"How about you, dude? Have you talked to the coach yet? You missed practice", Mark mused.

"You missed practice!", Jihye glared.

"Nah, I can still ace the game while missing several days of practice", Jaehyun sported with a reassuring smile. "Has anyone of you taken medicine?"

"None; we know we'll die there", Dami answered almost immediately, making the dominant laugh.

"Wise choice"

"Doctor Jung sounds good on you", Hyewon grinned. "Will you take care of Jihye if she'll get sick then?"

"Oh, I would flash my way here if that'd really happen."

The omega also squealed and playfully pushed the blonde; Jihye's heart immediately dropped at the thought of being contacted by hard objects again.

As if her panics were heard, a hand on her back supported her and saw it was Jaehyun's.

She threw a thankful smile and was about to focus on what her friends were taking about when he gently and easily dragged her weight close to him, and now it looks like she's sitting between his legs, just to let her know that her body won't drop dangerously.

She felt the surge of his comfort behind her, and so she managed to fully relax and depend on the dominant for her security.

The mini-party just consists of chaotic talks and delicious foods.

They cleaned up their mess after it and separated from each other's abodes, letting Jihye get comfortable and safe on her own again.
