CHAPTER 20

It was never a silent moment when the five friends gathered, and they soon adopted one more loud, chaotic dolphin.

The table is full, and five single trays adorn it. Sitting there are five surprisingly silent students, all staring at the two newcomers.

Jihye sported a small smile and pulled Renjun with her, taking the usual seat between Mark and Dami. But since they welcomed another new person, Mark is nicer enough to leave two seats beside him, causing Renjun to settle next to him.

The aura around the dominant is making Mark conscious, looking away.

"Weren't you going to buy your lunch?", Dami broke the silence while looking at Renjun.

"Oh, I've cooked us lunch", Jihye answered instead, pulling out two lunchboxes with paired chopsticks and passing one set to the male.

Renjun just nodded and stayed monotonous, though, not because he wanted to live up to the role but because he was still not used to the unfamiliar ambiance between the friend group.

He wasn't sure if they were trying to provoke him too or just standing by their guard, which is also a good character trait for him. It shows that they know how to be serious and defend themselves in case something happens.

In this case, a dominant alpha suddenly joined, so it is normal for the others to show that this is somehow their territory, especially the alphas.

Mark cleared his throat. "Let's eat."

"What do you really want from Jihye?", Jisung suddenly spoke, his deep voice and dark tone freely conveying his lack of trust.

The air became thick almost immediately, and if something is making it worse, the two dominants are seated right in front of each other.

Their gazes are no joke. Their faces were stern and their expressions were stone cold, as if they were ready to pounce at each other if a single word just came out wrong.

Mark, as an alpha, wasn't surprised and just ate, but the whole situation is a major opposite to the four omegas.

Chenle just looked like a lost child beside Jisung; he didn't know if he's permitted to eat without someone burying him alive.

Dami and Hyewon tensed up too, but managed to eat silently and just talk to each other with their eyes.

Jihye, just like Chenle, is a frozen fish.

Both the dominants' scents are strong, making it obvious that they are not happy with their encounter.

It was just the first question—the first thing that came from a dominant's mouth! What if they're already conversing?

"Nothing; I have clear intentions", Renjun simply answered.

"So sudden?", Jisung scoffed. "You're the one who triggered her omega; aren't you just taking these things to your advantage? Are you now relieved that I called you when she got her first cycle?"

"Like I said, my intentions are good. Don't make me repeat myself, Park; I know what I'm doing."
