CHAPTER 45

Johnny is sitting silently, his gazes shifting back and forth to the paper in front of him, and to the pair– or should I say mates—sitting nervously across him.

He had his pen twirling around his fingers, while one hand was tapping his desk as he made out a question that would start a proper topic.

"You've bonded for how long now?"

"Three weeks", Jihye answered almost immediately, like she expected the question.

"And you had sex without protection."

Their faces flushed at the doctor's comment, frank and straight without a filter. Though they kind of expected this, hearing it in reality is totally embarrassing.

Johnny can just shake his head like there's no choice, as he leans his body closer to the desk with his fingers intertwined against his chest, like he will serve a serious hot tea.

"Jihye, my dearest niece, you are almost three weeks pregnant."

The said omega's eyes widened in a fraction and stole the paper like a flash, Renjun closely leaning immediately to her to look at it.

The doctor rolled his eyes. "The result is written on the downright corner, just saying."

Their eyes automatically traveled to it, a small gasp escaping their lips.

Jihye felt a lump on her throat and slowly placed the paper back on the desk, her lips zipping close.

"I thought you'd rip it, but oh well, congratulations!", he beamed.

"You're not mad?", the omega mumbled.

"Why would I be? I mean, I was a little shocked, but knowing how kids are these days, I kind of expected this to happen. Especially for recessives, having sex is as normal as breathing."

"Uncle!", Jihye exclaimed when the dominant choked on his saliva, instinctively rubbing her hand on his back.

"If I'm too strict, you could die from choking, Renjun; I don't care", he grinned when the omega glared. "But since I'm not, let me just give you a ton of advice, especially you, Huang Renjun; you need this book."

The doctor pulled out a thin book that looked pretty like a magazine, sliding it in front of the dominant.

"That's a pregnancy rule book; you both can read it daily so you would know what to do in different situations. I believe there's a course for recessives only so you can focus on that. Oh, by the way, Jihye, you're definitely a normal omega right now, but don't take it for granted. Your body can be very sensitive still since you have a recessive history. I suggest you visit me, or this OB friend of mine, Dr. Li Yongqin; his clinic is practically the one parallel to mine. He's an omega and a well-known person, highly recommended by me, so you can trust him."

"What about weird food cravings?", Jihye asked, like she really waited for the perfect timing to ask that.

"What about it?"
