The hardest thing would be coming back to the dormitory.
Renjun did drive her and wait for a long time for her to be ready, creating a deep silence inside the car as the girl gathered her courage to go out and continue her reality.
She admits that she trusts the dominant but can't be highly sure of the people around him—in this case, Won Lei-An.
Renjun never let her squirm out of his hold and continued sticking their bodies together like glue—if not for sex, then just him attaching them by hand. He never let her go the whole day, and so when Jihye walked to the entrance door, she felt cold and uneasy.
The uncomfortable air passed on her skin like a wave of negativity, like the wind purposely hitting her ear and whispering awful words to make her crumble.
She knew she needed Renjun at that time.
Though her thoughts were washed out when she just found herself opening her unit, her heart beating like crazy as the security passcode beeped successfully and let her in.
Jihye expected a slap on her face or a rain of bullet words and cries, but she found nothing.
The whole unit is surrounded by silence; the scents swarming around are just a mixture of her fresh jasmine-scented candles and the other omega's sweet dew freshener.
Still, it made Jihye sigh in relief, as she directly slumped on the sofa as the wave of exhaustion from everything she had done with Renjun and the heavy boulder of nervousness got into her.
When she snapped awake after hearing the beeping on the door, the blonde could not remember why she had fallen asleep. She's thankful, though; at least she recharged her energy, even for a short time.
Their first eye contact is awkward—damn, Jihye got goosebumps.
The ravenette was the first one to break it as she took off her shoes.
Jihye stilled as she let the omega walk around. The smell of grilled barbecue lingered on her nose, saying that the ravenette ate out and that's why she's not there.
When the once sweet and welcoming ambiance turned more awkward and uncomfortable, Jihye marched into her room.
That.. when the ravenette spoke.
"Huang Renjun..."
She stopped reaching for the doorknob and didn't look over.
"He was the ex I told you about."
Obviously, Jihye just swallowed her replies.
"We were deeply in love until we were close to the mating process when my omega pushed off his alpha. We were so devastated that night."
"Lei, I know this is a serious topic and too personal to share with your dormmate."
