CHAPTER 44

The cold became everyone's enemy.

The streets are piled with snow and icy puddles, though some took the opportunity to play, but those who still have school and work to do feel like dying.

The winter is the omegas' greatest displeasure. Just like alphas in summer, they are prone to foul moods.

Their bodies cannot hold the cold well, so most of the schools always give them an early winter break.

One omega cannot seem to relax, though. She was piled with hoodies and blankets, while some of the dominant's shirts surrounded her.

Even if she is literally in his unit or his bedroom, his secondary presence is not enough for her.

Feeling like forever, the dominant came back close to 12.

He momentarily paused on the doorway, seeing the omega nesting, his blanket draped fully on her body. He can only make out some strands of her blonde hair on the pillow.

"Ji?"

"YOU'RE HERE!", Jihye excitedly exclaimed and sat up, her eyes sparkling, seeing the person she wanted to be with dearly.

Renjun smiled and threw himself on the bed close to her, the omega immediately snuggling to him.

"I can come back at three. We're already done with the tests for our first subject, so it's okay if we won't attend the class."

"Ugh, what's the point? I'll be alone until five thirty!"

He chuckled. "Much better than me being away since one pm, right? Are you hungry?"

"I'm Renjun-deprived."

Renjun cannot help but laugh, though he didn't tease the omega for so long and just cuddle her.

Jihye was stuck on him, even if he's cooking for their lunch. She badly requested that the male cook for her, so he immediately did.

He finds it cute. Over this past week, after they bonded, the omega seemed very dependent on him.

Renjun never got tired or annoyed, and he never once said no. Actually, he likes it better this way. He wanted to take care of and spoil the omega, even if she wouldn't say anything.

"This is our second week of being mates", Jihye randomly said while chewing on chicken nuggets. "And this is one week of me thinking if we would tell our parents about this."

"Umm, not to make you mad though, but..."

Yet the omega is already glaring, making him hesitate at first.

"I actually told mom about us."

"You what? When!"

"Days after we bonded", Renjun flashed an apologetic smile. "Mom called me once just to check up on me; there, I told her about us. She's ecstatic to meet you!"
