Stefan's pov:

3rds pov:

A couple were driving down the road when they screamed and swerved out of the way to avoid hitting someone but what they didn't know was that their night that until now had been oh so wonderful was about to take a deadly turn as the man that was hit happened to be a vampire who caused people to scream as he bit the man. The woman got out of the car before her husbands body was dropped on the hood of her car. She screamed and ran feeling her pulse racing before being picked up and taken.

Stefan's pov:

I shouldn't of come home, I knew the risk but I had no choice. I have to know her. I thought this as I jumped off the roof of the house that I was on just thinking about the girl that I had seen in the car that night. One that looked like Katherine, I had no romantic feelings for her but I had to know her and make sure that she wasn't at all like Katherine.

I walked into Mystic Falls high and into the hallway where I heard girls talking about my hot back which made me chuckle just a little bit. I turned around and noticed that it was the Katherine look alike. I headed to the bathroom and just my luck out walked the Katherine look alike she seemed a bit flustered which made me smile a bit. I took the quick time to look her over and took in her black straight shoulder length hair and her piercing eyes before I smiled and introduced myself then kept walking.

I walked into Mr. Tanner's class ready for another class where I was going to have to be correcting history considering that I lived it but couldn't exactly tell them that. I was sitting in my desk listening as our teacher droned on and on before I heard the door open and looked seeing a girl that looked around our age with light brown hair down to the middle of her back, piercing green eyes, piercings all up her ears including one in her nostril and a necklace. I watched as she walked in with her cup of coffee and took the empty seat right next to me. She looked at me as she was taking out her ear buds and smiled before Tanner got back to his lesson.

"Once our home state of Virginia joined the confederacy in 1861 it caused enormous amounts of tension in the state. People in Virginia's northwest region has different ideals than those from the traditional deep south." I kept staring at the girl that walked in earlier having completely forgotten about the Katherine look alike as this girl drew my attention more. I knew that she was friends with the Katherine look alike as I had seen her before although I probably wasn't going to tell her that.

She looked at me and I caught her eye before we just got lost in staring at each other which made her friends look at us before each other then smiling. I realized who she was Artemis Roman the girl I saved that February. I wonder if she has any connection to the Roman witches and their coven. I was brought out of my musings when I saw her reach for her phone and saw the message with my eyesight that basically read that there was someone hot looking at her. I saw her read it and smile which made me smile just seeing her happy. I watched after school as she headed to her car then what I assume was home.

I now sat at my desk writing in my diary with Elena's now that I knew her name diary on my desk ready to be taken back to her. Later that night I walked over to the Roman house and knocked on the door, I waited until Artemis opened the door and looked at me before saying "wait, you're the new guy at school aren't you?"

I nodded before saying "yeah, I am. I found where you live by asking the first person that I saw by the way." I was lying out of my teeth though as I had kept tabs on her through the years making sure she was alright although I really didn't understand why considering that I barely knew her but it seemed like something was dragging me closer to her.
