Flashbacks

2000 years ago:

Silas and Aella were walking in the woods sharing a kiss or two in secret, Aella looked at him before saying "soon we will be married and then we won't have to hide." Silas nodded before kissing his bride to be unaware that Quetsiyah was watching from the woods. Later that evening Silas went and asked Quetsiyah for a spell that could turn them immortal, she agreed and Silas took the spell for himself and Aella angering Quetsiyah.

Later, Quetsiyah had created a cure for her spell that she planned to shove down Silas's throat for betraying her but was met with Aella as soon as she opened the tent. Quetsiyah looked at her cousin in disbelief and betrayal before saying "you stole my husband from me."

Aella looked at her shocked and sort of annoyed before saying "no, cousin I did not my grandmother said that I was the one that was going to marry Silas plus we love each other." Quetsiyah did not take too kindly to that and took one of the cures that she created and shoved it down Aella's throat despite how hard Aella tried to fight her. When the cure took affect Quetsiyah ripped Aella's heart out and waited for Silas to show up with her cousin's blood spattered all over her, Aella's heart in her hands and the cure for Silas in the other.

Not until hours later in the pitch black of the night did Silas come back and call for Aella. Quetsiyah stayed silent and let Silas call and call for his love before Silas stepped into the tent coming face to face with Quetsiyah. Not knowing what she had done Silas looked at her before saying "where is Aella?"

Quetsiyah froze with anger before pulling out the heart that was in her right hand that she had held behind her back. Silas gasped before saying "Quetsiyah how could you? Your own cousin"

Quetsiyah sighed then said "Silas, Aella was not my cousin anymore she chose you over me" she finished before pulling out the cure. Silas angry as all hell refused to take it and vowed revenge before Quetsiyah looked him in his own prison of stone by desiccating him to absolutely nothing and locking the cure in his hands.

February 24, 2009:

Artemis Roman was at home with her mother Eliza Roman and Bradley Roman. Artemis was in her room doing school work when her father asked if she wanted to go for dinner. Artemis said yes that she would completely ignoring the instinct that was screaming at her not to go. They got into the car and headed to get the food when the car slid on the road that was icy and caused it to go into the woods and hit a tree.

Bradley and Artemis both survived but Artemis was unconscious and they were both trapped in the car with oil and gasoline leaking along with power lines crackling. Bradley heard a sound and saw a person coming, that person tried to help Bradley out but Bradley pointed to his daughter and refused to leave her in the car. The man went to Artemis's side and pulled her out and a safe distance away before the power lines caught with the gasoline and the entire car went up in flames killing Bradley Roman immediately.

The man brought Artemis to the hospital and waited for Eliza to get there before staying in the shadows waiting for Artemis to wake up before leaving. This man did it again in May when one Elena Gilbert's car crashed. The man that saved both girls was none other than the look alike of Artemis's ancestors love, the man was Stefan Salvatore.
