Third pov:

At the home where Pearl is staying, Anna helps the newly emerged vampire adjust to modern life. She finds a compelled Miss Gibbons feeding a vampire with her own blood before she offers Anna some.

Anna shook her head before walking away and finding her mother. Anna looked at her mother "are you sure it's a good idea to go after this town? You know it has the Salvatores and The Roman Witch protecting it."

"I know," Pearl nodded to her daughter in acknowledgment. "But this town needs to be punished for what it did to us and if that means taking on an elemental witch so be it. Besides we may have some help."

Mystic Falls High School:

Stefan's pov:

I walked into school and immediately found Artemis. She looked at me "how is Damon?"

I sighed "he won't speak to me." I leaned against the locker next to hers "I think he's hurt because Katherine doesn't want him and he's been trying to chase her for over a hundred years."

Artemis nodded "Katherine strikes me as kind of a bitch." I snorted because that's probably the best way to describe Katherine Pierce. Artemis looked at me "do you think Katherine is alive somewhere?"

"Yeah," I sighed no more happy about that idea than her. "I do. I also think that I don't want to see her again at all." Artemis nodded before they headed to class unaware of the craziness that was going on.

Salvatore Boarding House:

Artemis's pov:

Stefan and I walked into the boarding house after school laughing and smiling. My smile fell off of my face as I came face to face with Damon, Pearl, and Anna. I groaned "what the hell are you doing here?"

Anna looked at all of us "no defenses. How do you deal with unwanted vampires?"

Damon looked at Stefan and Artemis who both nodded. "We kill them." Then he quickly grabbed Pearl's neck. Artemis watched as Pearl overpowered Damon and quickly used her magic to fling Pearl away.

I held Pearl to the wall as Damon rubbed his throat. I looked at Pearl "you dare to come into their home and attack them. You might want to start telling us what you want before I crush your windpipe or snap your neck." 

Pearl gulped as I looked at Stefan and noticed he was smirking. Pearl looked at us "the tomb vampires are out and they are itching for revenge." Pearl struggled more and looked at Damon "we need to know about the council. Who are members and what vervain you supplied?"

I adjusted my powers on Pearl as I asked "why do you need it?" 

"I want to take back the land that we owned. The land that was stolen from us. I can help you find Katherine if you help me." Stefan and I looked at each other knowing that if there was anything that could tempt Damon then it would be that. "She's my best friend and I know how she thinks."

I couldn't resist "some best friend. She left you to rot in a tomb for over a hundred years. Hint lady, you need new friends." 

Stefan snorted as Damon chuckled "I don't want anything to do with Katherine. I won't help you." 

I nodded "well, there's your answer now leave." I then moved my hand which moved her body and flung her out of the Boarding House. Anna rushed after her mother after glaring at me. 

I glared right back and something in my glare must have scared her because she backed down. Damon looked at me as Pearl left and nodded his thanks for saving his ass. I nodded back before grabbing my bag again and heading upstairs with Stefan. 

We walked into his bedroom and I threw my bag down on his desk. Kai then barged in "when are we going to kill our family?" 

Stefan choked on his blood bag that he was drinking most likely at the bluntness with which Kai spoke but I was already used to it knowing that he hated our family. I sighed "as soon as the both of us are strong enough and find a spell that would cause them as much pain as they caused us." 

Kai smirked, "that I can agree with." Kai walked to the door and headed out probably to drain more magic. As Kai left Stefan threw the blood bag away and looked at me before smirking as he leaned in and kissed me. I giggled knowing exactly where this was going before kissing him back. He moved down to my neck before biting softly. 

Out of breath, Stefan looked at me and chuckled a bit "I love you." 

I smiled still not used to having someone who would say that to me. "I love you too."

Stefan sighed "when do you think Niklaus and Kol are going to show up?" 

"Probably soon," I sat up. "Especially if Kol wants his magic back and Klaus wants his curse broken." 

Stefan got up after me and got dressed along with me. It was then that we heard a crash. Stefan and I immediately raced to the living room where we saw the smashed window. Stefan looked at me before gasping as Frederick narrowly missed with a shard of glass. 

I grabbed Frederick and threw him against the wall. It was then that his partner arrived but I caught her and threw her against another wall as Stefan staked her. Stefan and I panted and sighed before dusting ourselves off. I looked at Stefan "those were tomb vampires." 

Stefan nodded "I know." He then looked at the window "this is not the end of it." 

I looked at the body of the woman before snapping my fingers and lighting her on fire. I couldn't shake the bad feeling that I had now that we knew the tomb vampires had all escaped.

Third pov:

Frederick returned to the house still seething about the loss of Beth Anne. He was met with Pearl by the door who was looking at him with disappointment and anger. "I told you not to go after them. They are protected by a Roman witch not to mention she's an elemental who has a serious grasp on her power." Frederick nodded before heading to his room silently seething and thinking of plans to get revenge.
