Alice's pregnant stomach was now very noticable and she loved it, not only did it display the life growing inside her body but it was a very conveniant stand for bowls, places and drinks. Balancing on her belly, was a skill she was quickly growing. Jonny at first gave her odd looks whenever she did it, but declined to comment as he had seen his wife do many weird things over the years he had known her. As the man got more used to the sight, he began to try and balance things on her stomach too, now a passtime that amused them both.
At the current time, she was balancing a bowl of spaghetti hoops as she ate them slowly with a spoon she had stolen from a fancy hotel, it had elegant swirls carved into the handle.
"Helloooo." The drawn out word came from the familiar voice of her best friend and brother in law.
"Hi Ad, I'm in the living room!" She shouted back to him, listening to his footsteps make their way closer to her as he walked further into the house.
As Adam got to the living room, his eyes narrowed on the girl. "Your baby isn't a tray you know."
"Adam."
"Yes."
"Do you have a stomach 10X its normal size because you're growing a human?"
"No."
"Shutup then!" She shouted.
"Charming." He raised his eyebrows but it was obvious that he was highly amused. "I need to tell you something."
Alice held her breath, trying not to display any excitement on her face. Surely Lucy would have told her if she had told Adam about the pregnancy? "You're scaring me."
"Lucy is coming round for Friday night dinner." He sighed as he collapsed onto the couch. "She's meeting mum and dad."
"She is definately going to leave you then." Jonny chuckled as he walked into the room, leaning down and kissing Alice's head, accepting her offer of a spoonful of spaghetti hoops into his mouth.
Adam huffed. "Alice stayed with you."
"I already knew all you Goodman's were weirdos." The ginger shrugged.
"Babe, you cant say that anymore." Jonny pointed out.
"Sorry, all us Goodmans."
"Better." He beamed.
"You two are disgusting." Adam shook his head although really it warmed his heart to see his two best friends so happy. Their life seemed to be going exactly how it was meant to, even if they had not quite expected it. "Should I harshly warn mum and dad to behave properly."
"I wouldn't bother, mate." Alice shrugged.
"True, it never works." Jonny agreed.
Adam groaned. "I'm going to be single by next week."
Alice smiled widely, eyes and cheeks glowing. "You won't be."
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Adam questioned suspiciously.
"Just happy."
"You're bizarre these days."
"Whatever. Jonny get me more spaghetti hoops for my baby tray please."
