The first day after the pub incident, Alice found a piece of paper outside the door of her flat. A printed out poem about love and happiness with Love Jonny written on the bottom. It had been a surprise but made her smiler wider than she had for weeks.

The second day, there was a big box of her favourite chocolates, Marks and Spencer's swiss ones. She had ate them that night with Adam when he came round to watch Peaky Blinders and told her about Jonny who was constantly talking about her to his family. Adam said he was desperate to get her back, finally realising his mistakes. This had warmed her heart.

The third day, there was a bouquet of roses that had made her flat smell amazing.

The fourth day, there was a copy of Romeo and Juliet with a lovely cover she had never seen before; it was her favourite play and one she quoted to Jonny a lot.

The fifth day, Jonny Goodman was at her door. A cute teddy bear with a pink love heart between his paws was in his arms and Alice immediately burst into tears at the sight.

"Alice?" He panicked. "Why are you crying?"

She shook her head, a large smile breaking through. "I'm happy, don't worry. I just didn't expect to see you at my door."

He laughed happily then, not having expected such a good reception. "I thought I'd give you a few days to hopefully be less angry with me."

"Well, everything has been so sweet." She grinned. "Thankyou."

"Will you please come to mine later? Around 7." He asked slowly, his nerves still very present despite the pleasantries they had exchanged. He wanted to pull her into his arms, craving her touch but he knew that was a bit too far in their current situation.

"Yeah of course." She nodded. "I'll see you later, Jonny."

Alice walked into Jonny's flat slowly, savouring the familiar smell of cinnamon and musk that she had missed dearly. She had let herself in just like the boy had texted her to do so and she was glad because it made the situation feel more casual, exactly what she needed when her heart was beating one hundred miles an hour.

He was in the living room, putting some last minute touches to the little den he had made. Blankets and pillows were shrouded all over the floor (after he had frantically borrowed some from his parents house) candles were lit on the windowsills and table and a large pizza box was settled in there too. He had strung fairy lights around the room and clipped on photos of them from over the years they had known each other. He knew that was the type of thing she absolutely loved.

The woman gasped as she walked in and saw the sight in front of her. The effort was clear in the scene and it made her heart swell. "Oh Jonny." She cooed.

He jumped in surprise having not heard her come in over the soothing music he had playing on his speaker. He smiled widely at the look on her face. "Hi. I, erm, hope you like this."

"I do." She nodded. "It's amazing."

"Sit down." He gestured to the pillows and blankets on the floor. "I thought we could watch Harry potter. Goblet of fire, of course."

She laughed quietly. "It sounds perfect!"

Hermione Granger and Victor Krum were spinning around the dance floor in the Yule Ball, while Alice had her head on Jonny's shoulder as his arm wrapped around her. Both were happy although they knew there were conversations they needed to have.

"This is so nice." Jonny said quietly. "I've missed this."

"Me too." Alice nodded.

"Al, I love you." Jonny pulled away and grabbed her hands tightly, hoping she could feel all the love he was trying to squeeze into her body.

The girl hesitated, nervous to admit what she really felt and nervous to get hurt again. "I love you too, but we can't just go back to how it was straight away. I'm scared your going to hurt me again. I don't even want to forgive you, I just cant help myself."

"I won't." He pleaded. "I really never want to hurt you again."

"I believe you, but you really did break my heart." She admitted, her eyes filling with tears. "Sometimes, our relationship felt like I was giving you everything and you were holding back. I don't want to go back to that."

Jonny moved his hands to her face, cupping her cheeks and looking at her firmly. "I know I was a dickhead, Al. But you have to believe me when I say, I am ready to give you every single thing I have."

Alice could not help the smile that took over her face. She nodded slowly. "One more shot and it best work out this time."

Jonny nodded vigorously and moved closer to her, colliding their lips together. Fireworks went off in both their bodies, craving what they had been missing for weeks and weeks. They were together again and they knew that this was right.
