"Can you tell me about your childhood?" Jackie asked Alice eagerly the first minute she saw her. Alice paused unsurely, her eyebrows furrowing.
"Erm, I'd prefer not to."
"Mum! Stop trying to council my girlfriend." Jonny shouted, grabbing her shoulders and leading her out of the kitchen.
"Bobble, why won't you talk about your feelings?" Jackie then asked Adam following him as he walked out of the kitchen.
"Stop saying that word!"
"Bobble?"
"Feelings." He moaned.
"Jonny, Alice, tell me about your feelings?"
"Do dad!" Jonny said loudly.
"I did." Jackie sighed. "It was like talking to a sock. When I asked him about his mother, he said and I quote, ' I dunno I suppose I came out of her womb."
Alice snickered. "He isn't wrong."
"Yes, factually correct."
"Go and put the profiteroles in the outdoor freezing." Jackie ordered them.
Alice would have usually stayed with Jackie and chatted about their weeks happily, but at the current time she did not want to be counselled anymore so escaped with the two boys. As the trio were making their way towards the outside freezer, Martin had came back into the house.
"Where are you going?"
"Freezer."
"No!" He shouted, covering the door with his body. "You cant go in there."
"You're in a horror movie." Jonny shook his head at the man, pushing past his dad and going into the garage despite Martin's protests. As Alice went to open the freezer, Martin jumped on top of it, pushing her out the way and firmly blocking the thing.
Adam looked at his father with wide eyes. "What is the matter with you?"
"Yeah, you alright Martin?" Alice asked curiously.
"You, erm, shouldn't open these things too much." He said loosely. "Flies can get in."
"Might we be right in assuming there's something in there you don't want us to see?"
"Of course not." Martin shook his head.
"I've got admit, that is the vibe I'm getting." Alice told the man.
"Dad, we believe you." Jonny said so that Martin stepped away from the freezer. As he did so, Adam moved forward flinging the thing open to reveal the frozen fox inside. Alice screamed, jumping backwards as the boys yelled out in surprise too and Jonny dropped the profiteroles all over the floor.
