Chapter Twenty-Three:

~Kellin's P.O.V. ~

It was Sunday and I was meeting Oli at a local coffee shop. After we talked briefly on Friday, he agreed to meet me here today so he could tell me what Vic had been hiding. I still wasn't sure if I trusted Oli, but he was my best bet.

I walked into the coffee shop and was instantly greeted with the strong smell of coffee and cinnamon. I didn't see Oli anywhere yet, so I decided to order something while I waited.

I walked up to the counter and saw that a girl from our school was working. I think her name was Tay? She seemed sweet enough. I think she was dating some girl named Jenna.

"Hi, what can I get you?" She asked.

"Um, can I just get a cappuccino and an apple muffin?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure." She said, walking away to make my order.

I stood and waited until she came back and handed me my stuff, smiling at me.

"That'll be $5.50 please."

I pulled the money out of my wallet and handed it to her, walking over to a secluded table at the back. I took a small sip of my drink and smiled, licking my lips. It tasted so amazing, this was definitely my favorite coffee shop from around here.

I sat back in my seat, waiting for Oli to show up. I looked down at my phone and saw that I had a message from Vic and I frowned. I opened my phone and read the message quickly.

'Hey Kells, I have something to tell you on Monday. Could you meet me by my car where I usually park?'

I frowned and put my phone away. I assume whatever he's gonna tell me is what Oli came to tell me today.

I heard the bell above the door of the coffee shop ding and I looked up to see Oli walking though. I have to admit, he looks good today. He looked around and noticed me, smiling as he walked over and sat across from me.

"Hello, hope I didn't keep you waiting." He said politely.

"No, it's alright. I've only been here for a few minutes." I said quietly.

He nodded, resting his arms on the table.

"So...how've you been?" He asked.

"Alright I guess...but why don't we get to why we're actually here today." I said.

Oli smiled, looking down for a second.

"Straight to the point, I like it. I'm sorry, I just wanted to get to know you a bit first." He said with a tinge of disappointment in his voice.

I felt bad, but I was honestly too nervous to get to know him.

"I'm sorry, maybe another time. I'm just-"

Oli held his hand up.

"I understand completely. If I were you I'd be the same way."

I nodded, waiting for him to continue. He sighed and pulled out his phone, setting it on the table.

"Now, I want you to know something first. I'm not showing you this to be a di.ck or sabotage your relationship, trust me. I've just seen this happen before and I don't want it to happen to you as well."

My heart was beating extremely fast as he pushed his phone towards me. He pressed play and I picked up the phone, watching.

I could see Jaime and Vic talking, it looked like the day after I had called him for the first time. I watched as he flicked a pencil off of Jaime's nose and then they began to talk to one another.
