Chapter Twenty-Six:
It was Thursday night and I was currently walking to Gerard's house to have dinner with him and Frank. He offered to pick me up, but I figured I could use the exercise anyways so I just decided to walk. Besides, I didn't want to bother him and Frank. It's not like they lived that far, only a few blocks away.
"2201...2206...2208." I said quietly to myself, walking up to their house.
It was kind of small, but it was actually really pretty. They had a small garden in the front of the house and small lights lighting up the walkway to their front door. It was really homey.
I quietly knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer it. I was pretty excited for this dinner. I had been staying after class lately and Gerard told me a lot about Frank. He seemed like the kind of guy I would get along with, despite the age difference.
The door opened and there stood Gerard, smiling at me.
"Kellin! Glad you could make it. Come on in." He said, waving me inside.
I walked in and looked around, smiling at the décor. It was as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. I would much rather live here than my house.
"Frank is in the kitchen making dinner. You can go say hi if you want? I'm finishing up some paper-work in my office until dinner's ready." Gerard offered.
I nodded and he led me to the kitchen. A guy stood there, cutting up vegetables. He turned to me and I finally got a good look at him. He had long-ish black hair and doe brown eyes. He was gorgeous, I can see why Gerard liked-well...loved him so much.
Frank wiped his hands on a towel and smiled, looking at me.
"Who's this, Gee?" Frank asked.
"This is Kellin, he's the student I was telling you about." Gerard said.
Frank's eyes lit up almost automatically.
"Oh! Kellin, yes, I've heard a lot about you! You're definitely Gerard's favorite student." Frank said.
"He's the only one who actually listens to what I'm teaching..." Gerard mumbled.
I and Frank laughed at the annoyed tone in his voice. Yeah, not many people listened to what he was saying. Music was considered the 'freebie' class, which basically meant that you'd get credit for the class and barely have to do any work. I guess I was the only one really interested in it. Even though I hated the class, I still listened and did the work.
"Go do your work, I wanna get to know Kellin myself." Frank said, waving Gerard out of the kitchen.
Gerard rolled his eyes.
"Kicking me out already?" He joked.
Frank started physically shoving him out of the kitchen and I laughed.
"Geez! Alright, alright, I'm going!" Gerard said, walking out of the kitchen.
Frank scoffed and walked back in the kitchen.
"I swear, he never listens." He mumbled.
"Do you need any help?" I asked.
"Yeah sure, do you mind cutting these up?" He asked, nodding his head towards some tomatoes.
"Sure."
I washed my hands quickly and started cutting the tomatoes up alongside Frank. It was quiet other than the sound of chopping.
"So Kellin, tell me about yourself." Frank said.
"Um, well what do you want to know? I'm not all that interesting honestly." I said with a small laugh.
