Chapter Thirty-One:

~Kellin's P.O.V.~

I groggily walked into the kitchen and sat down at the Fuentes' table. I hadn't gotten much sleep last night due to the fact that Vic kept kicking me in his sleep and my head felt like shit.

Vic's dad greeted me with a small smile and Vic's mom waved, going back to cooking. Mike was in front of me, looking almost as tired as I was, while he lazily shoveled cereal into his mouth.

"Where's Vic?" Mike asked.

"Shower, he smelled like ass." I yawned.

Mike shrugged while Vic's dad laughed.

"You actually got him to take a shower? I'm impressed." He laughed.

"How's your head, Kellin?" Vic's mom asked as she walked over and placed some eggs and toast on my plate.

"Feeling a little better. Thank you for asking. And for making breakfast." I said.

She smiled, serving some to Vic's dad and then placing some on Vic's empty plate.

"You're welcome!"

"I'm surprised she didn't burn it..." Mike muttered.

"Hey!" She yelled.

We all laughed just as Vic walked into the kitchen.

"Hey, Kells." Vic said, kissing the top of my head as he flopped into his seat.

I blushed and waved him away, shoving a forkful of eggs in my mouth. He smirked and started eating as well.

His hair was still dripping wet and I have to say, he looked hot. Not that I would say that out loud...not in front of his family as least.

"Are we still going to get Kellin's stuff today?" Mike asked.

Vic nodded and I went quiet, staring down at my plate. Vic had talked to his parents yesterday and they agreed to let me stay with them until graduation was over and I and Vic could find our own place. I was really grateful, most parents would have immediately said 'no'.

"If you guys need anything at all, please call us. That woman is obviously insane and if she hurts any of my babies I swear to god I'll-"

We all stared at her and she stopped speaking, closing her mouth as she composed herself.

"Well, speaking about someone like that at the breakfast table is rude. My apologies." She said, clearing her throat.

It was quiet for a moment as she went back to cooking.

"...but I'll still beat the bitch's ass..."

"Okay! Why don't you three get dressed? Hurry up, daylight is burning!" Vic's father said quickly.

We all snickered and ran upstairs to get dressed.

---

"You ready to go in?"

Vic rested a comforting hand on my thigh while I stared out the window at my house. Mom's car was there, so I knew she was home. This wasn't going to be pleasant in the slightest.

"Dude...you are loaded!" Mike said in shock.

"No, my parents are loaded." I mumbled.

"Who are your parents?" He asked.

I figured there was no use hiding it. I had always been afraid that if someone knew, they'd treat me different, but I think that's the least of my worries. Besides, it's not like I'm actually rich now that I'm leaving home. I'll be normal like everyone else.
