Chapter One:
The day seemed to drag on for Kellin Quinn.
Here he was, sitting in boring music class, as the jocks behind him threw paper balls at the back of his head. God, could this day get any longer?
"Alright class, I want you to partner up for this assignment! It's half of your final semester grade and I won't have anyone slacking behind." Mr. Way, Kellin's Music teacher, said.
As soon as he passed out the papers for the project, everyone jumped out of their seats to pick a partner. Kellin, of course, stayed seated and prayed that he could talk to Mr. Way after class about working alone.
He didn't work well with others and most everyone either hated him or had no idea who he was. He was never the kid to make trouble so he seemed to fade into the background a lot more then he should, not to mention the non-stop harassment he would get from the 'popular' kids about his sexuality. Because apparently being gay was like having a disease.
"Okay! It seems that everyone has paired up. Oh...wait. Um, Kellin..." Mr. Way trailed off and the class snickered.
Kellin rolled his eyes and rested his head on his desk, staring out the window boredly. It was raining outside, he usually loved the rain but today he just wasn't feeling very happy.
"Well, I guess you'll have to work al-"
Mr. Way was interrupted when the door swung open and in walked the student who pretty much ruled over the entire student body.
Vic Fuentes.
He sauntered in, throwing a pass at Mr. Way as he made his way to his usual desk at the back surrounded by his group of friends. Kellin noticed the way Mr. Way's eyes lit up as an idea formed in his head.
Oh no. No, no, no, no, no! No way...please don't even think about it Mr. Way!
"Vic Fuentes,"
Vic looked up from his phone at the teacher.
"You're partnered with Kellin Quinn."
"Uh, who?" Vic asked.
The class laughed as Kellin slipped lower down into his seat.
"Over there," Mr. Way said, motioning to Kellin.
Time seemed to freeze as Vic's eyes looked over and latched onto Kellin's. Kellin was assuring himself that maybe Vic wouldn't be too pissed about it...but then he saw the hatred in his eyes when he saw who he had to work with.
"There's no way I'm working with that faggot." Vic spat hatefully.
Kellin flinched at the word, but said nothing. Mr. Way, however, looked fairly annoyed.
"Enough, Mr. Fuentes. You're working with Mr. Quinn and that's the end of the story."
Vic looked over at Kellin and he mouthed 'you're dead' quickly before Mr. Way could catch him.
Kellin felt his stomach drop at those words because he knew for a fact that it wasn't a threat...it was a promise.
Author's Note:
First Kellic I've uploaded guys! :D (not the first i've written though)
I hope everyone's excited, I have a lot planned for this book, although I'm not sure if I'll make it a series or not. This is just a teaser i'm putting up to see if it gets any reads, and if it does then i'll upload more.
Please Vote, Comment, and Follow! :)
(Remember, if the book gets enough reads then i'll continue to update. But if it doesn't then i'm gonna trash it like I did with 'Surfacing')
Author's Note: IMPORTANT (3/28/15)
Okay guys, I've decided to upload more despite the lack of reads and the fact that whoevers reading it, really sucks at voting. (Sorry, silent readers are SO irritating). Anyways, so I'll upload it all together when it's finished and you can all read it then. Not sure if I'll do a sequel, i'll let you guys decide. Well, if any of you ever decided to comment.
Enjoy.
