Sasha's POV:
"I bet her first word will be mommy," I told Bayley.
"Nah it's gonna be mom," she replied.
"What if she mixes us up?" I asked.
"Then we'll just go with it," she laughed.I grabbed Mia from her play area in the living room and held her in my arms. She was already asleep, but me grabbing her woke her up. I motioned my head for Bayley to get up and go upstairs with us. She got up and followed me up the stairs.
"Mia, can you say mommy?" I cooed.
I looked back at Bayley to see her roll her eyes. I giggled at her before walking into Mia's room. We changed her diaper and clothes before putting her into her crib.
"Goodnight Mia," I whispered.
"Mom," Mia murmured just before I turned off the lamp.
"I told you!" Bayley exclaimed quietly.
"Mommy," Mia murmured again.I looked over at Bayley who was ecstatic that Mia had just spoke. I turned Mia's lamp off and we left the room.
"Alright, she said mom first but she still said mommy," I stated as we went back downstairs.
"But she still said mom first," she reminded me as we sat on the couch.
"Don't remind me," I kidded.
"Come here," she whispered as she wrapped her arm around me and pulled me closer to her.
"I love you," I mumbled as she pulled me.
"I love you too. And if we have another kid, we can teach it to say mommy first," she told me.
"When," I corrected her.
"When?" She asked.
I looked up at her.
"When we have another kid," I stated. She smiled at me before kissing me. I wasn't mad that Mia said mom first. But I was damn sure going to get our second child to say mommy first.
