CHAPTER 9: THE ANNOUNCEMENT

''LYRA, CHRISTAN RUN!!!"

Mom shouted on me after seeing me standing at the door while my twin brother, we can't move were just looking straight while mom and dad fighting with does person in black cloak, we can't see their faces because they wearing a mask, how odd that they didn't realize that were standing at there back specially that mom shouted our name.

Were just looking innocently on them, but both of us know that somethings wrong specially that they using magic they aren't normal. Even mom and dad aren't normal, mom shouted but only me and my brother is the one who heard the shout, she send us a message through telepathically, but then we came on our senses when our baby brother cry.

"Oh... we have an audience"

The cloak man said to us, Tsk what an arrogant man.

"Tsk"

Me and my twin brother said, because of that something trigger on him and immediately attack us but even before his attack landed to us we manage to dodge it, I turn to the right while Kairo turn to the left, when the attacker recover he immediately look to the both of us and came to my position to attack me but Kairo already hold his arm and pulled him when the guy look at him he immediately give him a full blow of punch on his damn face, and they start fighting.

When I saw that the attention is already on my brother I immediately run to the room of my younger brother, the moment I enter the room, the nanny is already dead and have multiple stab I can't even recognize her already, the cloak person didn't notice so I immediately jump and hit the back of his head causing him to lost consciousness and unsuccessfully stab my baby brother.

"Hey...shhh...stop crying now"

I carry him and left the room, but the moment I turn back, 2 cloak man is already standing outside and blocking my way out, making me to back off.

"Left the kid and the rest of you can leave" cloak man said

"Why would I?" I asked him

"You'll survive and leave peacefully kid, you'll play like the usually kid do, you will be happy living kid" the other one said

"Does it even important?"

I said while smirking, they look at me with amusement and disbelief.

"Then prepared to die" he said

"No, I won't the one who will die here, but you are"

After I said that one of the cloak men fell while blood is flowing through his neck, the guy look panic after he see that, and prepared to scape, but even before he scape his body immediately fell to the ground dead

"Not my children bastards"

Mom said, she's the one who slit their throat, I can't move while looking at her she was completely a different person now, she was covered blood all over her body.

"Hey... Lyra listen to me, go to the Philippines with Christan and Risk, me and your father will follow after...here is the bag that containing money and address of the house there and the passport including the document is all set, change your guys identity"

"Mom"

But the surrounding immediately change, we were running nonstop this time Christan is now carrying my brother and the bag, I can see that where getting near out of the forest but I stop when I heard my mom shout I look back, and right of my eye mom murdered while our house on fire dad was running out to go to mom and hug her.

"NO!!!"

Christan shouted and chase me he immediately hold my arm and pull me, while tears flowing on my cheeks.

"L-let g-go"

I said, I tried to take off his hand, but he just grip tight on it, I look at him and I saw that he was crying to but still manage to smile to me.

"Let's go, don't let their sacrifice be on vein, lets survive for them"

"HEY WAKE UP, WAKE UP,"

I feel a sting on my cheek making me to stand up and slap whoever in front of me.

"Aww"

I heard the girl said while holding her redden cheek.

"I just wake you up because you're having a nightmare, why do you need to slap me"

She said while looking on me full of disbelief

"That's my defense mechanism and how did you enter my room?"

I asked, so Its all just a dream?, hell why do I need to dream someone's past? I'm not Lyra so who it is?

"Ohh... nasa lobby na kasi lahat para sa announcement ikaw na lang ang kulang" she said "and I manage to open your room since the past owner of the room is a close friend of mine that's why I know the passcode" she said, but I know that there's still something of it but I didn't ask any longer and leave my bed.

"Hey!... wait! "

She said, and run to me and hold my arm

"I'm Sab...you are?"

"Scira"

I said and open the door of my room, the moment we reach the lobby I realize that we are all 30 here, I saw how they are all excited and curious about the announcement, nakatayo lang ako sa baba ng hagdan ng biglang may tumawag sa akin

"Scira! dito!"

Tawag sa akin ni Sab, naka ngiti ito at masayang kumakaway pero hindi ako gumalaw kaya agad niya ako pinuntahan saka ako hinila papunta sa bandang likod, maya-maya lang din ay meron ng bumaba sa hagdan making the student shut up.

"Good afternoon student Alpha, were here to announce that were having a sectioning in the maze, tomorrow morning at 7:00AM, please wear your type B uniform tomorrow morning partner by your golden pin and name pin, the uniform was located on your walk-in closet"

The blue eyes said, his the one who teach me how to open my room.

"We have 3 section here. G for Gamma, B for Beta and A for Alpha your classification right now isn't yet your permanent classification, that only means....not all of could stay here.

He said, making everyone gasp and murmuring like a bees someone of them is just silent but I could tell from their faces that they are all nervous.

"The event will occur for 3 says, so good luck to all of you"

He said, saka umakyat ulit sa hagdan

"Oh my gosh ang gwapo niya!"

I heard someone said

"Sino yun?"

"Official member ng Alpha, there's only 5 members of Alpha dati walo pero na lipat na yung tatlo sa higher rank, sana maging official member na rin ako ng Alpha ngayon para maka sali ako sa ranking quest para sa class S"

He said saka sila nag tawanan ulit, na pansi ko na silver yung pin niya at merong naka engrave na B doon halos lahat ay silver kundi bronze ang nakikita ko walang katulad sa akin, dahil sa tapos na ang announcement ay humarap ako kay Sab para mag pa alam pero ganon na lang ang gulat ko ng makita ang soot niyang pin.

"Your pin-"

I saw how shock she was and immediately take off her pin and put it on her skirt pocket, walang naka pansin nito dahil sa natatakpan ito ng buhok niya pero dahil sa pag hawi niya ng buhok niya kaya ko ito nakita. It was gold like mine.

"H-hey...ah... don't tell it to anyone at isa pa, kasali ako sa sectioning bukas"

She said nervously

"Whatever, I just pretend that I didn't see anything this time"

I said and left her in the lobby, what's wrong with her? Why does she so nervous? But whatever it is, it's not my business anymore I still need to prepare for tomorrow's event.
