Right after Scott had left to go to the principles office, Jackson walked back in - and in the lighting, Sam could see tear tracts on his cheeks where it seemed he had been crying. But he sat down anyways, acknowledging no one.

Stiles and Sam turned back to Erica's computer, the reports she had pulled up displayed on the screen.

"Oh, look at the dates," Stiles commented.

"Passengers arrived at the hospital DOA. Estimated time of death 9:26 pm June 14th, 1995."

"Jackson's birthday's June 15th."

They shared a look; all connected the dots. That meant Jackson had been born after his parent's death - most likely surgically removed from his mother's dead body.

Everyone in the Library's head turned as Mr. Harris stood up (when had he got back?), putting the loop on his satchel over his shoulder after he had zipped it up.

The teacher watched with a smirk as everyone started to pack up, letting the relief fill their faces. He waited until the majority had stood, bags swung onto their backs before letting out what Sam would consider quite a villainous laugh.

"No, I'm sorry - uh, yes, I'm leaving. But none of you are." He grinned maliciously.

"Asshole," Sam grumbled, muttering language his parents would largely disapprove of if they heard.

"You may go when you've finished with the reshelving." Mr. Harris patted the carts of books that had seemingly reappeared out of thin air next to him, stacked to the brim. "Enjoy the rest of your evening."

Nobody was happy with the sudden arrangement, it seemed, as the students frowned while the bipolar boy glared at the spot where the teacher had just stood.

All of the students slowly got to work, Erica standing up and sashaying to the closest bookshelf - reluctantly leaving her drawing notebook behind - as Allison walked close to Sam and Stiles as they tackled another cart of books together.

The dirty blond boy was surprisingly good at shelving books he found, probably due to the abnormal amount of books he read as a kid with Alex - the girl recommending new ones constantly.

Apparently, Allison and Stiles had other plans than shelving the books and going home because the second Scott came back from the Office with a slightly scared look on his face, they each grabbed one book and ducked between two tall shelves.

Sam sighed and followed after picking up a few books from the section, wanting to at the very least try and get the job done while his friends were doing their usual plotting and planning.

"It means he was born after his mom died, by C-section." Stiles filled the two in on what they had learned from Erica. "They had to pull him out of her dead body."

Talk about gruesome.

The two processed the information as Sam zoned out, staring off into who knows where. His mind didn't register the spacing out, but when it did, he decided to stand there like that for just a few seconds longer - relish the quietness of his mind.

His friends were talking about Jackson's parents possibly being murdered, which Sam didn't know where the theory had come from, but he supposed it was definitely possible.

"We have to talk to him. We have - we have to tell him." Scott said as Allison tried to tell him the aggressive teenager wouldn't listen.

The dirty-blond-haired boy decided now was the time to snap out of it, and he slowly sighed, snapping back into focus. Scott was moving out of their isle section towards Jackson, so Sam decided it was the best time to grab some more books to put away.
