Chapter 8: The Hex & the Jinx.

Joseph Joestar: Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore. The Indian leg of our journey is finally upon us. But I'm a little bit worried I mean is there anywhere to get a cheeseburger there? I've always heard India was the land of Curry, disease, & too many people.
Polnareff: I know. I'm worried my stomach won't be able to handle the culture gap.
Reimi: I'd have to agree.
Hol Horse: India is rough but its not so bad when you lower your standards.
Avdol: That assessment is rather distorted. You neednt worry, it's a country of extraordinary people. That I assure you my friends. Well we've reached Calcutta, lets get going.

They arrive into the land of India. It isn't long until they are swarmed by a crowd of beggars. Reimi has women trying to sell her jewelry & men trying to ask her out.
Hol grows frustrated with the attention & tells them to buzz off, while Avdol smiles & enjoys the friendly crowd like before.

Hol Horse: Dammit what's with these people? They didn't treat me like this last time.
Avdol: Haha isn't it great?!
Reimi: I beg to differ.

David Vincent: Calcutta India, in the 20th Century it's population is 11 million. Calcutta buzzes with bustling energy that will pull you in & never let you go.

Kakyoin: Crap someone has already stolen my wallet!
Polnareff: Hey kid don't put your nose all over my stuff!
Jotaro: Buzz off! You're freaking annoying!
Reimi: Hey I'm not for sale!
Hol Horse: Hands off my girlfriend!
Reimi: Hey I'm not..
Hol Horse: Just play along.
Joseph Joestar: Avdol! So this is India?! I thought you said this was a great place to visit.
Avdol: It is! Great country isn't it? They're what makes India great. Don't you think?
Reimi: Speak for yourself.

After they make it through the crowd, they head to the hotel.
They make it to the same hotel from the anime. Polnareff's scene with the pig head in the toilet plays out once again. Then the night time comes & they get ready to rest.

Reimi shares a room with Joseph & Jotaro as the rest of the team shares another room.
As they get ready for bed, Reimi takes her top & skirt off as Jotaro hangs up his jacket & Mr Joestar looks away.

Reimi: I'm gonna be naked till morning. Think you could wash these while you're at it?
Joseph Joestar: Alright no problem, I'll even get some more snacks. Lets hope they have an actual washer & not just a drying rack with a bucket. Let me know if you need anything else.
Jotaro: Get me some smokes while you're out.
Joseph Joestar: Your mother wouldn't like you smoking those.
Jotaro: And why would I care what she thinks?
Reimi: Ew cigarettes are the worst, the world would be better off without the tobacco industry. The only sticks in a box anyone needs is Pocky.
Joseph Joestar: I didn't care for those but I'd have to agree.

The next day, the team wakes up after a decent night of sleep.
Joseph Joestar: Well we need to be heading out now. We need to have our guard up too, this city is packed with possible enemies & crooks. It would be the perfect opportunity for evil Stand-users to blend in.

The group heads out to the street with their stuff packed. You may remember this as the street where Avdol was nearly killed by Hol Horse in the old timeline. But now HH walks among them as an ally.

Avdol: As much as I love India, I must admit that something about this street is giving me the creeps. 
Hol Horse: Yeah, getting some strange dejavu here. 
Avdol: Infact, this looks exactly like the street from my dream several nights ago. I dreamed that I was shot in the head by someone that looks like you.
Hol Horse: Oh really? Dreams are sure a funny thing.

Joseph Joestar: Remember guys, the Stand-user could be anyone.

Down the street they see people entering a building where rock music is playing. Our heroes walk by to see a poster advertising a rock concert performed by a musician named Amy Lee.
