Chapter Twelve
Jessica and Paul arrived in Australia after a long flight from California during which Paul was making all sorts of funny jokes and whispering flirty comments in her ear. He was in a good mood today. Probably because for the first time in their relationship they were away from the cameras and away from Emily and her judging comments, and Sean with his threating words, and also away from the fans who needed to know every detail of her life. Out here they could just be. When they pulled up to Jessica’s child hood home. Paul got out of his truck first then walked around and opened the door for her. She got out and smiled at him.
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome beautiful.”
She blushed and he smiled then he took a moment to take in the giant house that sat before them. It was a two story white house with lots of windows and had a huge wrap around porch which included a porch swing, the house was up from the beach. Paul looked out at that too and saw how big and beautiful the beach was. It was so much bigger than the beaches in California.“I can’t believe this is your house.”
“Well it’s my parent’s house, after they passed away they left it to me. But it will always belong to them for me.”Paul nodded and smiled at her. “Should we go up to bed room and skip the tour?”
Jessica laughed. “Well we could except for the fact that my friend Lena is in there with her husband and four kids right now.”
“Good I’m happy to meet them.”
He took her hand as they walked up to the porch, she realized something at this moment now. “You know I still haven’t met your brother.”
“I promise you will meet him, when we get back. I’m sorry it’s been so long. I know he’s been dying to meet you.”
“It’s okay I understand that you had your reasons.”
“I just had to make sure this was real, I had to make sure you wouldn’t-“
She cut him off. “You had to make sure I wasn’t like the others. I’m not Paul I’m all in.”He smiled at her. “I was hoping you would say that.”
“It’s how I feel.”
When they reached the porch, he wrapped his arms around her. “Let me show you how I feel.”
He began to kiss her, but she pulled away so he just started kissing her neck and her shoulders. She pulled away from him. “Paul we can’t I promise there will be some of that tonight. But right now I want you to meet my friend.”
“If she’s anything like Emily, I’m sure I’ll hate her.”
