Note: Posting this chapter nine now, I have a school assignment to do tonight. The joys of Spring Break. It's time off but not enough time. Enjoy! This chapter is in both Jessica and Paul's point of view.
Chapter nine.
Paul and Jessica pulled up to her beach house and walked inside, when they walked into the kitchen. Jessica just stared out the window. Paul looked at her, he thought that she was not okay. She had that broken look about her again.
“Are you okay?” He asked her.
“Yeah I just forgot to do the dishes.”
“You don’t have to do them right now.”
Jessica didn’t listen. She picked up a plate and began scrubbing it with a rag and dish soap. She was scrubbing so hard. Next thing he knew she was sobbing, he moved closer to her. Taking the dish from her shaking hands and placed it back in the sink. He turned her body t face him.
“Hey it’s okay.”
“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have done that.”
“Done what?”
“Cried in front of you. I’ve already ruined your night. I’m really sorry.” She said tears falling down her cheek.
“There’s nothing to be sorry about. You don’t have to put a mask for me all the time.”
She stopped crying and looked up at him. “What do you mean?”
“I see the way you are around the press, your fans and even Emily. You pretend to be this wholesome girl. Who doesn’t feel anger, hurt or loneliness. I’m just saying you don’t have to do that around me.”
“What if you don’t like me anymore?”
“Not possible.”
She looked at him with sad and broken eyes, he realized then that there was only one thing he could do to comfort her. So he did it.
He moved in and titled her face up to his and kissed her. She pulled her body back a little at first, but then after a while. She gave in to him. He kept kissing her gentle and soft, like if he kissed any deeper she would break. She was so fragile to him, she might have been the most fragile thing he ever touched. He ran his hand along her leg moving it up and down, and that’s when she stopped him.
“I’m sorry I just can’t I keep thinking about what happened. Him touching me, it happened in a kitchen. Just like this.”
“I understand.”
“I’m going to take a shower.”
