The end of the endgame was complete bullshit (for me :)) so I rewrote it how I wanted it to be
In this story Steve doesn't go back in time to be with Peggy, but instead is able to get Nat back. Will they finally get their chance on "happily ever aft...
A lot of light: that's all he saw. And then suddenly he was laying down on water?? What was happening? He got up, and looked around, ant there she was, behind him. She was still unconscious, bones cracked, blood coming out of, well, everywhere, but she was breathing. He could see her chest rising, up and down, grasping for air. He got her soul back. He actually did it. But her body was still a mess. He quickly picked her up, doing his best not to hurt her more, and took her back.

PRESENT:
He didn't even have any time to explain or say anything. The moment that they stepped on that platform he started yelling for a doctor, for help. It was a complete chaos of people trying to understand what the hell was going on. Most of the though he took a dead body back, she was hardly breathing, but they, thanks to Tony's old contacts, got her the best doctors in the planet, and with some guidance of doctor Strange himself, they were able to stabilize her.
Excruciating weeks passed. Everyone moved back in the tower temporarily, even Pepper with Morgan, agent Hill and Fury. Nat was starting to show improvements, and Steve stayed with her 100% of the time (except for when someone would force him to take a shower or for bathroom breaks). Another week passed, and nothing new was happening. Strange went to check on her again (he would do that every couple weeks), and everyone was around observing, waiting for good news. She was still intubated, with a ventilator breathing for her (according to the doctors her lungs were still too week). And then, after more silence, Strange said:
- I wanna try something. – and just like that, in one swift move he took the tube out. She flatlined almost instantly, but he didn't even blink. Steve and Clint ran to her, to try reanimating her, almost as an instinct. But Strange stopped them
- Give her a chance to fight.
A few seconds later they heard the first heartbeat, everyone released the breaths that they didn't even know they were holding. She was breathing on her own.
