N: How did you find me James?

B: Someone posted a video of a nightclub last night, F.RI.D.A.Y recognized you.

N: Does anyone else knows I'm here?

B: No, I deleted the video

N: Good, then you can go and I can go back to my life

B: He's devastated Nat. I know you; I know you don't think you deserve him, but you do. I've tried telling you this a hundred times before, and almost 15 years later and you continue to be as stubborn as you used to be, but you deserve the word Talia, and you guys are perfect for each other.

N: you should go, you are wasting both of our times.

B: DAMN IT NATALIA. HE IS GOING TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE AND HE'S GOING TO CONVINCE HIMSELF HE IS HAPPY AND YOU BOTH ARE GOING TO END UP UNHAPPY.

N: He already has, hasn't him?

B: Has what? – a pause. Nat raises her eyebrow- Found someone??? No, no of course not.

N: Don't forget I know you too James, and I can tell when you are lying.

B: Ok, maybe he has, but doesn't mean it's too late...

N: who is it? Don't even think about staling me James, just say it

B: Sharon - he rolls his eyes

N: Peggy's niece?

B: Yeah

N: Great, I bet their babies will be very pretty. Now please leave James.

B: Damn it Natalia, I'm not going to be able to convince you will I?

N: I doubt it. And I'm never wrong

He thinks about what to do for a second

B: Ok. I'll go. But at least have this

He gave Nat her old phone, that she left in the tower before she left. That is a message saying: "your voicemail is full", and 77 lost calls with voice messages from "Rogers" and 3 from "Witchy" (Wanda).

B: And Nat, before I leave, you know you can always count on me, right? We might not have the same bond we used to have when we were younger, but I'll always be here for you.

N: I know. Thank you, James, means a lot

B: Goodbye Talia

She listened to Wanda's messages first. The first one was her calmly asking where she was, the second one was in a more worried tone, with a few threats, and the last one was basically only threats. Then Nat prepared herself and listened to Steve's messages

The first few ones were apologies, him begging her to come back, asking to be just friends, crying, saying it was his fault and he was sorry, and that he would do anything for her to comeback. It broke her heart.

The second third of messages were him just talking to her. Like "hey Nat, I miss you. I hope you are okay wherever you are. You know, today I watched that movie you told me about, and I loved it! Wish you were here to watch it with me. Okay, have to go now, bye!"

The last third was a rollercoaster. Some were very sad, him saying he missed her, that it wasn't fair for her to leave like that. And most of them were pure anger. He screamed at her for making him suffer like that, and then cried. And she cried too. And the last 5 or 6 were basically him accepting, apologizing for the other messages, and saying that he will miss her, but that he will be ok, and that he understood her motives, and would, eventually, forgive her.

The last one was the one that hurt her more and made her happier at the same time. It said:

"Hey Nat! it's being a while since I left a message, and I know you are not even probably listening to these because this is the last one before your voicemail fills, so I just wanted to say goodbye, I guess. I took your advice. I asked Sharon out. I don't know if it's going to work out but as you said, I should "get a life", so I'll try the whole dating thing out. I wanted to apologize again for my messages, I was angry with life, and I took it on you. About the kiss, I am sorry for ambushing you like that, but at the same time, I'm not. When I lost you, after Vormir, I finally realized what I actually felt for you, and how stupid I was from not telling you before it was too late. So, I think I needed to let you know, even if you didn't feel the same. I'm so thankful for you from all our moments together, for your friendship, and for you always being there for me when I needed, but I'm letting you go know, us go. I need to move forward now that you did the same, I hope you can understand. Goodbye Nat, all the best for you, always."

Now she was sobbing. And with that she gave up on the very tiny hope she had of going home. But he was going to be alright, and that was all that mattered.

She was about to get rid of the phone when she decided to leave one last message too Steve

N: "Hey Steve, it's being over three months now. I hope you are all ok. I just listened to all your voice messages, and I just wanted to say how incredibly sorry I am for putting you through all of this. I'm not going to try to explain myself to you, but I just wanted to say that you deserve everything that is good in this world Steve. I hope you're happy, and even though I am miles away, I'm always going to be here if you need me. I'm sorry I failed you these past months, but just know that no matter what I'll always be your friend. Goodbye Rogers, I'll miss you"
