They ate, and they were leaving the café when she said

N: There is still something you need to know

S: You don't have to tell me now if you are not comfortable

N: No, I need to do it now.

They sat in a bench on the park nearby.

N: Ok. So, I went to the red room when I was about 4

S: WOW that's early!!

N: Let me finish Steve, this isn't easy for me

S: Right, sorry

N: I had two years of the basic training, guns, fighting, spying, access training, etc. When I was 6 I had my first undercover mission, where I met Yelena. When I was 8 or so I went back I resumed training. When I was 9 I killed for the first time, when I was 10 I killed my first innocent person. By 12 I was good, by 14 I was great, and by 16 I was the best. When I was 17 I had the chance to become the Black Widow. Everyone that was part of the widow program was considered a widow, but the BLACK widow was the best of the best. But firstly, I needed to graduate as a widow. To do that we had to go trough a series of tests. – she paused, her eyes filling with water, and she trying to fight the memories appearing in her head – We didn't have an option, Steve. If we didn't succeed, they would kill us.

S: Hey it's ok. I'm here – he held her hand. She took a deep breath and continued:

N: The reason why I'm telling you this is because of the last test to become a widow. We had to  undergo a surgery, a last precaution.

S: What did they do to you Nat?

N: I had an unvoluntary sterilization

S: What??

N: They remove your uterus, your ovaries and basically anything that could get you pregnant.

S: I'm so sorry – he was still trying to wrap his head around it – but why?

N: Well, I guess because they could afford to lose their best killers for 9 months, but honestly I think to just make us a little less human, a little more of a monster. One last thing to worry about

S: You are not a monster Nat. Nothing they did can make you any less human. They are for doing this to you, but not you.

N: I can't give you children Steve. I know you want kids; I know you want the traditional American life: kids, wife, golden retriever maybe. I can't give you that

S: Is that what you are worried about?? Nat that's the least of my worries. We don't have to have that life, and besides, if one day we decide to, there are other ways.

N: Are you sure Steve?

S: Sure... about us? – she nods her head – Never been so sure in my entire life. – one tear escapes her eyes. He wipes it out

S: C'mon, let's go home

They walk back to the tower (bringing donuts for everyone of course, they wouldn't hear the end of it if they didn't)

Right before they went in Steve say:

S: Nat? Would you give me the honor of taking you on our first official date tonight?

N: Took you long enough! Thought you would never ask soldier

They walk in and everyone notices Steve with a silly smile on his face, but just once in the history of humanity no one asks anything (probably only because they were too focused on the donuts).
