Chapter 1- Alone

Ziara's POV.

Playing my guitar in the freezing cold weather was just a regular. I was playing and singing along.

"Look outside, it's already light

And the stars ran away with the night

Things were said, that we'll try to forget

It's so hard to admit

I know we made mistakes

I see through all the tears

And that's what got us here

If love is an ocean wide

We'll swim in the tears we cry

They'll see us through to the other side

We're gonna make it

When love is a raging sea

You can hold onto me

We'll find a way tonight

Love is an ocean wide" I sang 'Ocean Wide' with all my passion and soul. I attracted a crowd as I hit the last note and started a new song; this time it was 'Back for good' but it wasn't the actual song, it was a cover by Boyce Avenue. I started dancing along with my eyes closed, allowing myself to fall deep into the music. I smiled as I hit the last cord and opened my eyes.

Despite the cold weather it was actually a nice day. The sky was cloudless as the sun shined toward the park. The rain that has been going on for days finally passed over London.

"Today is gonna be the day

That they're gonna throw it back to you

By now you should've somehow

Realized what you gotta do

I don't believe anybody

Feels the way I do about you now

Backbeat the word on the street

That the fire in your heart is out

I'm sure you've heard it all before

But you never really had a doubt

I don't believe anybody

Feels the way I do about you now

And all the roads we have to walk are winding

And all the lights thy lead us there are blinding

There are many things that I would like to say to you

But I don't know how

Because maybe

You're gonna be the one that saves me

And after all

You're my wonderwall." I finished singing 'wonderwall, and smiled as I got applauded. I gave a small bow and looked at my feet, seeing a bunch of Euros in the case. I got excited but didn't allow it to show.

"Thank you all so much!" I said as I waved and put my guitar down and grabbed a couple Euros and closed the case. Walking to the mall I scoffed as I saw a bunch of paparazzi come along.

"Wow... Really?" I asked myself. I thought of how they were so lucky, they had everything they needed within their grasp, while I had to work for it everyday... Sometimes skipping a meal or two. I sat down on one of the benches and sighed. Five guys came up to me and sat down. I sighed again, putting my head down. Couldn't I be alone for a day?

Niall's POV.

We were sitting on a bench next to a girl. She had dark reddish-brown hair and soft blue eyes. She  looked tired and hungry more than anything. Looking down at my sandwich seemed to lose my appetite.

"Hey, do you want it? I'm not hungry." I asked the girl.

"What is it?" She asked. Her voice sounded like it a had a little melody to it, as though she could sing for hours and not mind it.

"Well... It's not much, pretty much just... Umm I'm actually not sure." I stuttered. She shrugged and I handed it to her as she ate it.

"Thank you so much." She mumbled after swallowing the food. I smiled at her, and shrugged.

"It's no big deal." I dismissed.

"It is to me, I skipped breakfast this morning and dinner last night... So thanks." She said as she looked into my eyes. I stared at her, shocked.

"My name's Ziara, what yours?" She asked.

"Niall." I answered. A silence grew between us as we looked forward. It wasn't an awkward one, just a comfy one.

"You're a fallen star

You're the getaway car

You're the line in the sand when I go to far

You're the swimming pool on an August day

And you're the perfect thing to say

And you play it cold

Buts it's kinda cute

When you smile at me

You exactly what you do

Baby don't pretend that you don't know it true

Cause you can see it when I look at you

And in this crazy life

And trough these crazy times

It's you, it you

You make me sing

You're every line, you're every word

You're everything." She sang randomly. I looked at her, shocked that such an amazing voice came from a shy person. After she finished, I smiled at her.

"Now that she's back in the atmosphere

With drops of Jupiter in her hair

She acts like summer

And walks like rain

Reminds me that there's time to change

Since the return from her stay on the moon

She listens like spring, and talks like June

Tell me, did you sail across the sun

Did you make it to the Milky Way

To see the lights all faded

And that heaven is overrated

Tell me did you fall for a shooting star

One without a permanent scar

And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there." I sang, flowing to the music.

"You're a good singer." She says as I finish, to which I look down and blush at my shoes.

"Come on, you must get that like every single day!" She says, teasing me. I blush harder because I knew it was true and she laughs a little.

"Well, you're a good singer too." I states. She scoffs and opens her mouth to say something.

"Me? I sound like an...."
