Cold Nights (ExJ)

Josh's POV

Laying in bed with my hoodie and sweat pants trying to keep myself warm. It snowed for the first time in a while and no one expected it. Hugging the fluffy blanket close to my chest. My phone buzzes with a text notification.

Eddie❤️- Hey my love, open your front door. I've got a surprise for you :D

Josh😋- What did you ship to my house this time?

Eddie❤️- Just open the door, it's cold out here.

I jump out of bed and run to the front door to see Eddie standing there holding hot chocolates and a pizza box. "Hey doll face." He says as he walks in and puts the box down. I wrap him in a tight hug, feeling his warmth filling my body. "I missed you too love." He laughs softly.

"Cuddles. Bed. Now" I say still clinging to him. He goes away on business trips a lot so I don't see him often. "Of course baby" he picks me up and carries me to our bed. "It's freezing in here. Did you not turn on the heater??" I had some how completely forgotten that we had a working heater. "I think I should start taking you with me on my trips. You can't take care of yourself." He jokes and kisses me carefully. "Orrrr you could stop going on trips so you can stay here with me." Running his fingers through my hair. "God I love seeing your pretty face. My pretty boy." I blush dark and burry my face in his chest. He sits on the bed, pulling me into his lap. Rubbing my back softly humming our favorite song.

"Have I ever told you how pretty your eyes are babe?" He smiles softly. "Only like everyday. My precious baby." Eddie lays down, I lay on his chest. Listening to the sound of his heartbeat. His hand in my hair as we both drift off into a peacefully warm sleep.
