Plagg's Past

Tikki POV

I eventually extended my hand to reach out and touch his shoulder, but to my surprise, hand passed through him.

I gasped in surprise and I stumbled back, losing my balance. I fell through him onto the floor. When I stood up, I looked down at myself to find that I was transparent. My body wavered as I tried to catch my breath. Falling through someone really knocks the wind out of you.

"This is a flashback back to the second time I was sealed in a miraculous." Plagg's voice rang through the void.

"For the dinosaur extinction?" I guessed.

"No...the Black Plague" He revealed.

"Oh" I said.  So this is how it all started

"Do you know how long I sealed in here?" Plagg asked. I kept my eyes trained on the weeping figure of a young Plagg.

"No. Probably a hundred or two years right?" I answered.

"Try a thousand" Plagg growled, his voice laced with venom.

My eyes widened in shock. He was really sealed for a thousand years? And I thought I was going crazy within one week.

When I didn't respond, he decided to kept talking.

"Think about it" he went on. "A thousand years without anyone to talk to. Sitting in the same spot with nothing to think about but your own self pity" His voice grew louder and more agitated as he kept talking.

"A thousand years worth of friends. A thousand years worth of memories!" His voice boomed through the empty space.

"Gone because of simple mistake" he spoke softer.

"It wasn't just a simple mistake Plagg. You wiped out half the population," I muttered.

"I was young and stupid. I didn't know how to use my powers."

"I know but still" I said. "I think sometimes you might take it too lightly"

"I'm taking it lightly?" He sneered. "Master left me to rot for a thousand years. I was a fool. I paid the price for my mistakes Tikki, and although it happened over a thousand years ago, I will never hear the end of it."

"I understand but that's not something I can just move on from. So many horrible things happened during that time Plagg, and you were sheltered from it all inside a miraculous." I argued.

"Sheltered?" He laughed dryly. "Is that what you think? I was sheltered from it all and I lived happily ever after by the time I got out?"

"It couldn't have been as bad as the mortal world. I know it must have been hard for you but you don't even want to know the things I saw during that plague."

"You don't even know" Plagg said darkly. "This is your first time being sealed because miss good luck is always perfect. This is my fifth"

"Okay Plagg. I'm sure you were perfectly fine" I say sarcastically. "Yeah, you felt guilty...so?"

"Don't forget Tikki, your miraculous is based off your power. You can create anything you want inside your miraculous right now since you're the Kwami of creation"
