Plagg's POV
Today will be a good day. I can feel it. You know, scratch that. It will be a great day! I can feel it...
"Come on Plagg please?" Tikki begs.
You know what? Never mind.
"Tikki please no" I run through the house as she chases me with an umbrella.
It's not going to be a great day.
"It'll be fun!" She pleads.
I decided it wasn't going to be a great day as soon as I opened the curtains.
"No it won't!" I yell as I jump over the couch, landing on the coffee table.
Rain. I hate that word more than anything.
"Why do you hate rain so much?" Tikki says in exasperated .
I knew exactly why. I was wired to hate it...
"I'm a cat for goodness sakes Tikki!" I say as I scan for a possible escape.
Water...eww even the word makes me shudder.
"You have to get over this fear of water" she puts hand in her hip.
It's just so wet and liquidy.
"No I don't I'm perfectly fine" I cross my arms.
"So you're going to live the rest of your life in fear of water?" She asks.
I was never actually afraid of water in the beginning. The fear just gradually got worse over time.
"We'll I've gotten along this far just fine" I retort.
And I've just avoided it at all costs.
"It's a miracle how!" She throws her hands up and lunges for me. Luckily, I dive just in time to run up the stairs again.
If it was a rainy day, I'd usually just hide in Adriens jacket pocket.
"Plagg your being a really bad cat right now!" She yells as she chases me up the stairs, clearly out of breath.
"No!" I yell. I spin around to find that she cornered me in a room.
If it was thunder storming, no problem! Adrien always had an umbrella.
"Listen Plagg we all have to make sacrifices sometimes and-"
"And I don't want to do it! Problem solved. Case closed. Why don't we go watch a movie?" I interrupt.
"Plagg," Tiki said sternly.
"Yup that's my name," I avoid her gaze and scan for a possible escape route. The only solution I found was the window behind me, but it's pouring rain outside.
I turn my attention back to her. "Come on Sugarcube, me and you, sitting on the couch, on a rainy day, with a movie? I'll make popcorn..."
Tikki hesitates for a moment, raising my hopes before she shakes her head and glares at me. "Fine you can be a little scaredy cat for the rest of eternity, over a bit of water. But I'm at least having fun," she says. Tikki gives me one last look before storming out of the room, down the stairs, and through the hallway.
It would be an understatement to say my pride is hurt, but not enough to go outside! I sigh and walk to the closet, pulling out my favorite black hoodie. I slip it on and open the blinds to find Tikki dancing around in circles.
I smile to myself as her stringy hair flies around. A huge smile was plastered on her face and her wet bangs clung to her forehead. I watch her twirl around, sticking her tongue out while she tried to catch any rain.
She glances at the house and catches my gaze. I amusingly smile as she hysterically waves at me.
"Plagg watch this!" She yells through the glass. She runs up to the driveway and I give her a thumbs up.
"What's she doing?" I laugh quietly to myself.
I watch as Tikki runs as far as she could down the driveway before leaping off the ground and into the air. She lands with a splash into an ankle deep puddle. Her arms flailed as she struggled to keep balance before falling backwards and landing with a thud.
"Tikki!" I yell as I watched her motionless body. Immediately, I crash through the door and sprint as fast as I can towards her.
"Tikki?" I slide on my knees when I reached her.
But I receive no response.
"Tikki come on this isn't funny!" I raise my voice and move her onto my chest.
"I swear if this is a joke to make me come outside," I mutter. I scoop her up and run inside, gently placing her onto the couch. I grab a blanket and rush beside her.
"Tikki? Come on Tik please wake up?" I plead as I run to the kitchen and grab a wet rag, placing it on her forehead. I suspect she has a concussion but I can only wait for her to wake up, and it's driving me crazy.
"Sugarcube..." I said as I examine each of her features. I find up a dry towel and ring out her dripping red and black hair.
"What are we going to do?" I run a hand through my own hair and sit down beside her.
"That was a pretty stupid idea of yours," I laugh, even though I know shes not even conscious.
"What were you thinking?" I amusedly smile.
"You probably caught a cold too.""Then I went out there to get you," I recall. "It's gross and wet...I hate it."
"But you bravely faced your fear," a voice responds. "I'm proud of you"
My head snaps to Tikki. Her eyes flutter open and my heart skips a beat.
"How long have you been awake?" I raise an eyebrow and a sly smile creeps up my face.
"Long enough," she replies. "I'm still proud of you for going out there"
"Anything for you sugarcube," I smirk.
"Do I have a concussion?" She asks.
"I think so, I don't know for sure," I face her towards me and shine a flash light in her eyes. Usually, if someone has a brain injury, you can check the dilation of their pupils. What worried me, was when hers didn't get smaller right away.
"Tik I think you might have a small concussion," I say, growing worried.
"Great," she says sarcastically.
"This is why we don't go out in the rain Sugarcube," I say.
"It's not my fault you were being a stubborn cat," She mumbles and crosses her arms.
"Mhm" I narrow my eyes and turn off the flashlight.
"Do you wanna try to go back out there when it stops raining?" she said.
"No way Tikki. You have a concussion, get some rest," I say covering her with a blanket.
"Okay fine, after I'm better," she says
I hesitate for a second before finally making up my mind. "Deal," I smiled at her.
