"You are stronger than that Brooke don't allow him put a doubt into your mind, do not give him access of what is behind the shield. You have once faced him and won the confrontation, and a new fight is set to happen again, because you won't let that monster to create the mess into your life, no way, this is my battle. Marco has nothing to do with that... But...." I spoke to myself as I got out of the taxi car after paying a twenty euros to the driver. Grabbing a taxi wasn't what I've planned, because their fares were so expensive, and I loved travelling by bus. But with what happened two hours earlier at my apartment, I had to clean the mess he made by crushing the glass against the wall, and in between cut two of my fingers by picking the pieces. As if that mess wasn't enough, I missed the bus for the Phöenix See, and the next one was scheduled in the next hour. In behalf of the running time, and the lateness, I made an exception and hopped into a taxi heading straight at Marco's house.

I stood in front of Marco's door, over thinking about how to start a conversation when Marco would open the door, that was just so embarrassing. My finger reached the door bell alarm button with some hesitation, so I took a deep breath and finally pressed it. "Relax girl otherwise you'll faint or worse, suffer from a heart attack, damn, what am I going to say first, hey Marco, what's up, or ..." I crossed to a new phase of deep thinking, but everything dissipated by magic when a confounded Marco opened the door. We both starred with a deep glare at each other faces, as if both were expecting who would open first. From his face expression, I saw how astounded Marco was to see me, well perhaps he was still mad. "Say something .. Say something..."

"Hey Marco." were the only words that came out of my mouth followed by a smile.

"Hey Brooke.." He responded calmly.

"Ehmmm I... I have called you and left many text messages on your phone..." I mumbled quickly.

"Oh yes yes I read them when I came back from the physio therapy, I have forget my phone, so that's why you haven't reach me."

"If you had your phone with, would you answer my call then.?" I asked straight.

"Sure, yes absolutely, and I'm not avoiding you, clear that idea off your mind." I breathed of relievement internally, within my mind being slighty put at ease. [Marco clears his voice] "I'm just angry yet and confused either... What happened Brooke..." Marco asked with that tint of annoyance in his voice tone, leaving me restless. I knew I couldn't avoid it

"I know right, I shouldn't have talked to you that way, I went too far and was disorientated I guess." I folded my arms all around me, warming myself as I could. The cold wind, moist air and rain weren't really arranging the situation.

"You should come inside first, otherwise you'll catch a cold." Marco said inviting me to enter the house. The swap of the ambient temperature was felt immediately, it was so warm in house, and the natural vanilla aroma floating was so pleasant How I loved to be here.

"So, what were you saying." Marco said walking to the living room. The first thing I noticed was the pause mode of Fifa15 on his giant LED plasma screen, and the extra large opened pack of Lays chips on his sofa, with the PS4 controller, a typical Marco. He always enjoyed to eat two packs of lays or marshmallows while playing to his video games, a big child.

"What your doctor and physiotherapist said concerning your injury." I asked, it was out of context but I needed to know on his injury, I was so worried.

"It's a light to medium ankle injury, I'll need two weeks of physio and rest, and will absent with the national team." Marco said with the sorrows heard in his voice, he looked annoyed. Being absent from a match or the national team games was like hours wasted in his life. Marco couldn't stay off from football, he hated that.
