I starred at my watch in a glance that shown six thirty five, a heavy loud breath exhaled out of my mouth.  A few more minutes to close the cash entries, to shut down the computer and my day at work would finally come to it’s end, finally.  My envy to go back at home never had been that harsh.   Maybe I should have put my sense first, and take two additional days of rest as I still had some remains of the flu and some exhaustion.  My body had been aching all day long, and had to fight those heavy eyes constantly to not fall asleep, yes a good sleep was so tempting.  I never wanted that much to be in my bed and sleep till the next day, gosh, that was like a priority.  I slipped the envelope containing  the daily sales into the cash box, closed the computer program, shut it down, all closings done, I was on fire to step out of the shop, yes finally.  I was on the urge to be home, have a hot bath and to eat a bowl of soup in front of TV, yeah, that's all I needed.  If Marco was free, I'd ask him to come over so we'd spend a cute warm night together at drinking hot chocolate, but he had other plans, a night out with his friends Robin, Marcel, Auba, the swaggy band.  A night all alone would not be that bad, even though I'd loved Marco by my side.  I was missing him.

If I hadn’t fetch that taxi, I'd probably still on the wait for the bus.  As it was nearly seven, late and cold, I grabbed the car that was passing by, and arrived home faster.  The warm temperature inside the car almost made me fall asleep.

At the front door, I introduced my key inside the key hole lock, turned it, but to realized that the door was already opened to my big surprise.  I frowned my eyes in astonishment, because I perfectly  had on my mind that I closed and locked the door before I left to work, never I'd forget to turn the key.  A feeling of insecurity whizzed me, what happened, did some robbers ransacked my apartment, just that idea was terrorizing me, did they left, what the hell was inside or awaiting.  I took a deep breath and silently opened the door, not wanting my presence to be noticed, filling myself into the living room.  The TV was playing, empty cans of beer and glasses were strewed on the living room table, the atmosphere was so gloomy and dark that it brought shivery reactions to my body, I could have run away scared.  A smell of cigarettes was floating, as if the person who erupted in my apartment, settled his own territory.  My fear was preventing me to think or to take some actions, what should I do.  I stood on my feet and had a look around, it seemed that nothing was robbed, what was going on here.

"Heyyy my lovely  Brooke." A drunken Michael appeared with a can of beer in his right hand.  My breath was  like stuck inside my throat, I thought I was suffocating.  Why Didn't I think of that plausible scenario first  yes Michael, he had the capacity to fill inside your house without being invited in.

"You..." I barely said fixing him.  He got that stupid smile on his face, yes that smile he had when.he was drunk, how could I forget.it.  The same smile when he was brutalizing me.

I've been waiting." Michael spoke pointing his index at my direction.  "Hey come and sit next to me, I need to talk to you."

"And I want you to leave my place, now." I ordered.

"Na nah, we talk first."

"I have nothing to say okay, just go away."
