It turns out planning a wedding in such a short time period isn't as easy as one would hope and imagine it to be. I knew it would be stressful but my god it was worse than it needed to be. We reached out to a few cake companies and found one that was able to fit us in, we really didn't want a huge difficult cake, just a small three tiered cake.

We had even settled on it being plain white instead of incorporating red, and gold in with it. Yet two days after reaching out they told us they had "other orders to prioritize and ours wouldn't be made by the date we needed it" which was fucking annoying, but Penelope saved the day by saying she'd be happy to make it and be able to incorporate the color theme as well. She's really a true blessing  we really don't deserve her on this earth. Thankfully we had no issues with his tux and my dress and everything else we kinda planned out ourselves.

"So I've been thinking instead of choosing one of the ladies, I think I want them all to be my bridesmaids. They're all equally important to me." I say as I leaned forward in the chair. We were in Aaron's office, planning while at work. I finished my paperwork and Aaron had more than half of his done so we decided it'd be better to do it now instead of going home and stressing. "Wait do we know who's all coming?" Aaron asked curiously and I had to think.

"Well, I do know Derek's family is, like his mom, sisters, aunt and a few of his cousins, JJs mom and the kiddos along with Will if he can make it, and Reid wanted his mom to be able to come but you know.." I trail off and Aaron nodded understandingly. "Anderson said he'd be there and a few people from around the office as well." I finish and he hummed. "Good, I think I'd like to have all the guys on the team as my best men then." He says with a soft nod and I smiled at him.

"I still can't believe we're getting married." I whisper softly and he reached over his desk, grabbing my hand within his. "Me neither, it feels unreal. I still can't believe you said yes and it's been what? Almost two weeks?" He asked and I nod, smiling fondly at the blush that ghosted over his cheeks as he stared at me. A knock on the door made us sit up more straight, Aaron straightened his tie and I held back a smile. We weren't even doing anything, hell, the blinds are open.

"Come in!" He says and JJ walked in, smiling softly at the both of us. "Hey Jayje." I say and she lifted up paperwork and I gave her a "Don't say it look" and she gave me an apologetic look. "We have a case, Strauss made sure we picked this one up herself. It's important." JJ says and Aaron sighed as he leaned forward on his desk. "How important is it?" He asked and she grimaced before flipping through it. "Three kids in Michigan were abducted from their house last night, police have no leads other than the potential suspect who they believe to be the father who murdered the mom and step dad." She says and my mouth fell open in shock. Oh.

"Get everyone in the round table room, we'll brief quickly here and debrief on the plane as well." He says and she nodded before going to do as told. "Our wedding is next week what if the case runs into that?" I ask and he shook his head, standing up to grab my hands in his. "I'll make sure that does not happen. We are gonna get married next week don't worry okay? I promise." He says and I nod, letting out a breath of air before pulling him in for a soft kiss, running my hands up and through his hair softly before pulling away reluctantly.

The case in detail was even worse than what JJ briefly told Hotch and I. The mother and step father were both tied up, brutally beat, tortured and then killed. They both had their hands and feet bound, multiple deep lacerations to the chest and abdomen, the man had some to his face as well, both had burn marks and small puncture wounds that looked like steel nails had made all over their arms. The torture was extensive on the man, he got the worst of it and then some, his collarbones and his feet were both crushed with something, like a hammer, alongside his other injuries.
