I couldn't sleep all night, I tried but every time my mind took me back to yesterday's party.
THE EVENING BEFORE: THE PARTY
"Give my best regards to daddy" saying this I turned and walked out of the room. I opened the doors and left.
"Eleanor stop, please" I heard Diana's voice but I didn't stop I kept walking ignoring her, but she reached me and made me turn taking my arm.
"What the hell happened to you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about Diana" I answered
"You know it and also very well"
"Eleanor" my sister called to me as she was running towards us
"And where do you come from?" I asked
"I was at the party and I saw everything. How could you challenge the Dark Lord's son in front of everyone"
"I wasn't challenging him, I just expressed my opinion"I pointed out
"I don't think saying to bring your regards to his dad is the part of expressing your opinion"Diana clarified
"In that case I was educated. He told me about his father and I only asked him to say hello"
"Eleanor is enough. You're playing with fire" Clara shouted
"Guess what, I like playing with fire" I said
"This is not playing, it is a serious matter, you are putting yourself against things bigger than you" Diana said
"Diana is absolutely right. You should apologize to him"
I began to laugh at my sister's statement
"I don't understand, Clara, are you asking me to apologize to someone and especially to Riddle. I prefer that he kills me rather than apologize" I answered
"Don't even say that as a joke" Diana said
"Listen, we can close this topic and go to sleep, I would be very tired" I tried to change the subject
"Yes, come on, I'm tired too" Diana said agreeing with me
"Clara, will you come with us to the corridors?" I asked my sister
"Yes, of course I'll come with you, in the meantime Olivia will join me later"
"I see that you are very fond of her" I said turning to Clara
"Yes, she is a very good friend, we have many things in common. I'm really happy"
"I am to you too," Diana said while she was looking at Clara
