Kenai

I put my hand on Kenai's injury, healing it before teleporting back to Keaton's. I didn't feel like arguing, if Thea was bitten I needed to find a cure before it sets in. According to my studies, the cure is pure theory.... a mixture made up from math.... never actually tested, but it was my only hope for her at this point. I have till next sunrise, but it's all the time I need.

Perhaps, I'll mess up, then Thea becomes a vampire, or her body will fall ill rejecting the venom. My failure will result in a vampire's feast. Her body will be torn limb from limb, and her blood sucked dry. So her fate is either living as a nymph, a naiad vampire, or no life but death.

I knew Dionysus of all would help his daughter.
No father would want to see his daughter in a battle to the death, and being a nymph she had a better chance of being queen over Mystic.  Her clan would be instantly drawn to the power. Something I knew Mystic would never let happen.

Vampire nymphs have powerful magic, something a true blood vampire could only dream of. Mystic had a plan though, or she would've rather summoned the dirtiest beast to deliver the bite.....but she didn't and it was her bite. I guess she assumes Thea will reject the bite, showing naiad weakness to her clan.

"Keaton? Thea....uh...Th- -.....Your sister is um," Kenai stuttered.

"Shhh, I doubt he's here," I announced looking around the room for any clues.

"What are you looking for? We have to go to azlynn," Kenai rushed me twisting his head in all sorts of ways, trying to figure out my plan.

I opened Keaton's closet, and up at the very top was a box. A box of memories.

It was covered in a layer of dust, bite marks from random insects, and small tears along the bottom. I knew the box was supposed to be brown, possibly tan but the dust made it grey all over. On the side of the box was a smeared black marker, and I could hardly make out the words.

"Hey, come read this," I called out.

Kenai jumped from Keaton's plushy bed, then grabbed the box from the top shelf. A darkness of dust danced in the air, and on the top of the box was a less smeared version of the writing, clear from all dirt particles, so he smiled reading the name" Says Aveiro."

"Perfect," I laughed snatching the box and laying it on the floor, and for a quick moment, I glanced at Kenai's smooth perfect skin rubbing my fingertips around the edge of the lid. My heart began to beat out of my chest nervous about what I might find.

"Come on, open it"

"Okay..... Here we go," I sighed.

As soon as I opened the box revealing nothing but random clothes Avi use to wear. I felt all throughout the mildewed box of hoodies. I accidentally knocked the crate on its side, then I began to cough on the colors of dust when Kenai fell to the ground.

Their visions can be quite dramatic honestly, but they're usually quick. I knew there was something special about this box, and it's the fact there's something else we need to see.

***5 minutes later ***

Kenai began talking to himself softy, then fluttered his eyes open. He looked quite confused coming to as if he didn't remember the inside of Keaton's simple bedroom.

"Zealand. How.....could she? I can't.... b-believe this," Kenai mumbled staring down at my veiny hands," She gave them the keys, and.... she's pregnant...with a Naiad v-vampire....wow...a-and she doesn't even look pregnant.... my vision told me she's due in 2 weeks."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, she has the key we're looking for... a-and I don't think it'll be easy getting it... do you know what type of magic is inside of her key? She has the key to opening the underworld door," Kenai trembled.

"We need to speak to Dionysus now! Come on," I stressed in a panicked tone.

"Where?"

"Not far," I reassured him running through the front door, down two blocks from Keaton's house. Kenai did his best to keep up, but only naiads knew of this special spot in Zale city, so he trailed behind slightly. The crispy morning frost froze our fingertips to the crumbling mountain rocks, but eventually, we both got to the top of where Dionysus's cult lived.

"Oooooo an Azlynn Naiad! Wow! Your skin is so much clearer than ours...this murky pond does nothing but clog my pores," A slim brunette nymph exclaimed from the edge of the Asgore pond.

"Come on, behind these grapevines," I mumbled smelling the sweet and sour smells of fresh red wine, I tried not to stumble over-molded fallen trees, and I also had to avoid the overgrown Ivy plants.

"I hear something..... It sounds like... a performance," Kenai rambled on pulling a curtain of vines off a tangled up tree branch.

"Welcome! Nephew, I'm so happy to see you," Dionysus exclaimed rising from a golden chair touched by King Midas himself.

"Dionysus, I'm so sorry... I failed as a nephew. Your daught—"

"Thea? Gods, don't tell me she's pregnant," Dionysus shrieked.

"No, uh sir... Mystic delivere- -"

"The bite! Gods, what kind of father am I? I should have been more present," Dionysus exhaled," Is it too late?"

"She still has time," I assured him trying to look away from his unclothed muscular body," Do you happen to know about any... Dragonfly keys?"

"I actually.... have a spare cure from the last lad that came asking for my help, a handsome fellow like yourself... stay here... I'll be right back," Dionysus mentioned before running into a purple vintage tent.

"He's handling this quite well," Kenai whispered watching all the nymphs hide beneath the waters.

"Shhh, you're worrying them," I hushed trying to ease their anxieties.

Moments later the tall bearded god ran from his tent, thankfully dressed in a purple robe this time with one small golden grape.

End of the chapter: Kenai

Do you think Thea will live through the bite?

If so, do you think Nai will cure her in time?

How do you think Jensen will react when he sees Nai again?
