Chapter 13: The Fight

"Fight!"

The moment Taehyung hears this, he looks up and looks at Jungkook. Taehyung becomes determined to not take his eyes off of the fight no matter how gruesome it becomes because he knows that he needs to support Jungkook in this moment.

Jungkook carefully circles his prey as he slowly swishes his tail in a threatening demeanor. He never takes his eyes off of the bear hybrid because he can tell that Taehyung is right. The grizzly is angry and will do whatever he can to win this fight. Jungkook knows that his opponent is looking for a weak spot or an opening. He's waiting for that one second where Jungkook isn't paying attention, so Jungkook quickly glances at Taehyung to get the bear to make a move. Just as Jungkook predicted, his opponent uses that split second as an opening and lunges at Jungkook.

Jungkook using his superior reflexes, steps aside and lands a solid kick on the bear's abdomen. The kick startles the grizzly hybrid because Jungkook has become a lot stronger than when he was a 17 year old teenager.

Not wasting any time, Jungkook quickly lands another blow to the grizzly's face. The crowd bursts into cheers and screams as the grizzly hybrid spits out the blood in his mouth. When Jungkook goes in for a third kick, the grizzly hybrid moves to grab his leg, so Jungkook quickly switches legs and lands another blow.

Taehyung holds his breath as he watches Jungkook quickly move to a safe distance from the bear, but before anyone can think, the grizzly charges Jungkook at lightning speed and slams Jungkook into the cage then digs his four canines into Jungkook's shoulder.

Taehyung gasps and clasps his hands together as he hears Jungkook grunt in pain and sees pain flash in Jungkook's eyes. Jungkook uses all of his strength and knees his opponent in groin which causes his opponent to yell out in pain and let go of Jungkook's shoulder.

Jungkook quickly shakes the pain away and takes a quick glance at his mate. When he looks at Taehyung, he flashes a quick reassuring smile then faces his opponent again. Taehyung relaxes when he sees Jungkook's smile. He'll be ok. Everything will be ok.

"When does the first round end?" Taehyung asks Hajoon as he watches the wound on Jungkook's shoulder bleed.

"There are no rounds in this fight." Hajoon's answer stuns Taehyung.

"Then when does the fight end?" Taehyung asks in shock.

"When one is unconscious or dead. There is no tapping out either."

"What?!" Taehyung yells in shock.

"This is a rare no rules fight. Not all of Jungkook's fights are like this. Very few are." Hajoon explains to the stunned fox.

"So, this will end with the grizzly hybrid unconscious or Jungkook dead." Taehyung nervously mutters.

"Yep. That's why I didn't want Jungkook to bring you to the fight." Hajoon mutters and gently pats Taehyung's shoulder.

By the time they finish talking and pay attention to the fight, Jungkook has more wounds and the grizzly is clearly thinking that he will win. 

Taehyung watches in horror as his bleeding mate is thrown across the cage then crumples to the ground. Jungkook struggles to get up as his wounds continue to bleed and pain shoots throughout his body. As he struggles, he hears his little mate whimper, so he looks over and sees his mate's ears flattened on his head in worry as those blue eyes look at him with so much fear of losing him.

When he looks up, he sees his opponent charging towards him, so he quickly moves out of the way. The bear's foot lands where Jungkook was lying a second ago. Because of the lack of blood, Jungkook's movements are slowed, so when the bear lunges at him again, Jungkook is too slow. The larger male lifts him from the ground by the throat and sneers at the struggling wolf in his hands.
